Upcoming Sugarloaf events

There are always new events coming up at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. A Yoga Hike will be held on Aug. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Susan Topf will offer guided yoga and meditation in the beautiful park throughout the 2–3-mile hike. Tickets are required.
A Creekside Nature Hike will take place on Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Also on Aug. 21, there will be a Full Moon Hike from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This hike provides the opportunity to see the moon rise over the Mayacamas and the sun set over Sonoma Valley. Tickets are required.
The Sugarloaf trail crew needs help. The next day of work will be Aug. 26 with continued sessions the second and fourth Thursday of every month. Work includes trail restoration, bridge and step construction, sign installation, clearing, lifting, hiking, and more. On Aug. 28, there will be a public Star Party at the Robert Ferguson Observatory from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. There will be telescopes, docents, and presentations on astronomical topics. Tickets are required.
