Rotarians turn out for goodbye party
The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood celebrated and thanked outgoing club president Kyle Fisher at a party on June 30 at the Kenwood Depot.
Since it was a roast, club members made gentle fun of Kyle’s Zoom skills, Midwestern demeanor, and frequent use of “the big check” in photo ops for social media and newspapers, including the Kenwood Press.
Seriously though, Kyle led the club through most of theCOVIDlockdown period, kept everyone in touch, and helped raise much-needed funds for the Sonoma Valley community. The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. outside at the Depot, or as Kyle dubbed it, “our clubhouse.” Visitors are always welcome. For more information, contact Kyle in his new role as membership chair at [email protected], or current club president Ann Peters at [email protected] gmail.com.
