“Sounds From a Jungle”: Ernie Rose with George McKinney – Sept. 26 at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom

Oakmont resident Ernie Rose, 95, ran a documentary film series in Oakmont for over a decade. Over his more than 70-year career, he produced more than 200 films, including documenting the Iranian Revolution for the state department. He also aided the investigation into the John F. Kennedy assassination and had a close working relationship with famed journalist Edward R. Murrow. Rose conceived “Sounds from a Jungle” at the request of Pat Brown, then governor, to document life in San Quentin.
