After the SDC campus is redeveloped, will Glen Ellen still be a place where the valley goes wild?

As the SDC Specific Plan process moves forward, we must ask ourselves: How much development can the site accommodate and still be harmonious with surrounding open space, the Sonoma Valley Wildlife Corridor, and Glen Ellen? When pondering this question, keep in mind the likelihood that overdevelopment and incompatible land uses will make it harder for wildlife to move freely between the habitats that support them.

Alternatives for redevelopment of the SDC campus will soon be released. Each alternative will include a substantial amount of housing and commercial space. If you care about the future of the SDC, the small town character of Glen Ellen, and the viability of the Sonoma Valley Wildlife Corridor, now is the time to get involved and make your voice heard.
