Susan Oldroyd joins North Sonoma Valley MAC

Group will hear about Sonoma Creek restoration and stewardship

Kenwood resident Susan Oldroyd has become the newest member of the North Sonoma Valley Municipal Advisory Council, to be sworn in at the group’s regular Oct. 20 meeting.

Oldroyd has been a Kenwood resident for the past 20 years. She joins the MAC as an appointed alternate council member with a term of two years. She is an architect who designs residential and public projects in Sonoma Valley and throughout California. She continues to renovate her Kenwood home where she lives with her Schipperke, Poppy. Oldroyd’s personal and professional experience, plus her skill in developing collaboration among diverse groups, will help her capably represent the Kenwood community.

Council members will learn about Sonoma Creek restoration and stewardship projects sponsored by the Sonoma Ecology Center. The virtual meeting is presented online, so anyone may join and watch.

First District Supervisor Susan Gorin will also be on hand to discuss current county topics and programs. Members will also hear from various members about current issues with the Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission, the Glen Ellen Forum, emergency preparedness, local traffic and safety concerns, as well as get an update on Eldridge/Sonoma Developmental Center progress toward future development.

The virtual meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20. Join in by calling (669) 900-9128 or through Zoom with meeting ID: 962 3897 3483, passcode: 472287.
