Trione-Annadel State Park fundraiser
Support a local gem on Nov. 4
Friends of Trione-Annadel (FOTA) is working with the park staff and the community to make the park more accessible and safer. They accomplish their mission by raising funds to help local volunteer groups build trails, install signs and maintain the facilities. Last year, they purchased needed supplies to help with the repairs at Lake Ilsanjo. FOTA is the official California State Park nonprofit partner for Trione-Annadel State Park.
This year, in addition to funding trail work, they are raising funds to purchase firefighting sleds for the park staff to use when needed to protect buildings and trails in the park. They will raise funds for their mission on Saturday, Nov. 4, with a virtual fundraiser.
This virtual fundraiser will be an evening of community (safely) gathering. There will be special guests, including Gaye Le-Baron, newspaper columnist, author, teacher, and local historian of Sonoma County;,and Senator Mike McGuire. There will also be a silent auction with many items from local businesses. It will be an amazing opportunity to learn about the park and engage with local park heroes. There will also be an online option from Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. to Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
Friends of Trione-Annadel is the nonprofit dedicated to protecting the health of the treasured local state park, Trione-Annadel.
