Oakmont Arts and Crafts Faire

Oakmont Art Club presents creations by 45 local artists

The Oakmont Art Club will host a holiday arts and crafts fair featuring 45 local artists displaying paintings, watercolors, birdhouses, photography, jewelry, wearable art, and more. The fair will be a great opportunity to get a head start on holiday gifts and stocking stuffers. The event will be inside the Berger Auditorium, at 6633 Oakmont Dr., on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fair goers will enjoy live music to shop by, and a dance performance is planned at noon.

The Art Club, which has more than 400 members, hosted a similar fair this summer, which featured 62 artists in the shade under the solar panels at Oakmont’s Central Recreation Center. According to event coordinator Heidi Klyn, the summer event was so popular, attendees asked the club to put on another fair before the holidays.

“These are Oakmont artists and we have many great ones here,” said Klyn. “The pandemic has let them create even more. The Oakmont Art Club is a very active club, which has open house tours once a year and at least one big art show in the Berger Center. COVID-19 resulted in a year-long rest, but we are raring to go again.”
