Thunk, splash, brrrrrrr

Thunk, splash, brrrrrrr
For the second year in a row, the Kenwood Education Foundation (KEF) hosted a successful “Dunk the Principal” event. Nate Myers, the new principal as of this school year, might not have been aware that dunk tank duty was part of his job description, but he was thrilled that KEF raised $1,400 to benefit the educational programs at Kenwood Elementary School. Chad Wyatt, KEF board president, also took a turn perched above the frigid water. KEF raises money to fund programs such as instructional aides, music, art, and physical education (PE) for the school. According to Wyatt, “those funds going to PE seem to be going to good use if the accuracy of the students’ throws is any indicator.” Wyatt also offered a thank-you to “everyone who participated, especially those of you who missed the target. And thank you to Evan Howland and Ms. Lamar who helped with organizing and setting up the event.” Photo by Karla Schloemp
