Firehouse crab feed set for Feb. 12

Pandemic rules will be in place; fewer seats available

The Kenwood Firefighters Association will host its annual crab feed on Feb. 12, 2022, at the Kenwood Firehouse. The event is a fundraiser for the association’s scholarship program and other fire department needs. In 2021, the association awarded $5,000 in scholarships to Kenwood youth.

“We look forward to a fun community event after a two-year COVID break,” said Joe Platt, president of the Kenwood Firefighters Association. “For the event, we are going to require proof of vaccination along with a valid picture ID, or a recent negative test (within 72 hours of the event) along with a valid picture ID. Face masks must be worn, and distancing will be met by limiting the number of seats in the dining area. We want our guests to be safe and have a great time.”

The doors open at 4 p.m. with three seatings offered: 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Seating times for the private dining tables are available at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

“Tickets are first come, first served, and sell out quick,” said Platt. They go on sale Dec. 20 and can be purchased at the firehouse. Tickets must be paid for on the day of purchase with check or cash. Individual tickets are $75, and private dining tables seating eight are $700. A limited number of private dining tables are available.
