Gladstar, a native of Sonoma County, founded herbal studies institutions here and in New England and is the author of twelve books. Armbrecht is a Harvard-educated researcher, writer, and Sustainable Herbs Program director who followed global supply networks to their sources in her latest book, The Business of Botanicals.
