The Genius of Billy Wilder, Four Mondays starting March 7, 2–5 p.m.
Take a deep dive into four essential masterworks by the great writer-director Billy Wilder – Double Indemnity, Sunset Blvd, Ace in the Hole and The Apartment. Explore Wilder’s signature mythic themes, archetypal characters, legendary dialogue, dark humor, and elegant visual style. Taught by Terry Ebinger, MS, a passionate llm scholar with three decades of experience. The course will meet once per week on Mondays for four weeks from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $95. Linda Gentille Piano Concert, Saturday, March 5, 7:30 p.m. Cost: $25.
Liberace protégé, Linda Gentille is a comedian, entertainer and pianist who has been amazing audiences around the world since 1986. One of the most popular and memorable parts of her concert is her “Top Ten Medley” segment. Requesting ten songs from the audience, Gentille plays them in a seamless medley in reverse order. Her concerts magically weave classical and her own flamenco style into a repertoire of over 2000 popular songs. The concert will be at the Berger Center, 6633 Oakmont Dr., Santa Rosa.
