Kenwood 4th of July Parade is on!

While it’s early days yet, a real, live Kenwood Hometown Fourth of July Parade is showing signs of life after a two-year pandemic hiatus.
So far, the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen/Kenwood is moving to host its late morning/afternoon soiree in Plaza Park, with light food and entertainment being discussed at this point. Rotary Club president Ann Peters says the club is excited to be back for the big event.
Redwood Runners will be hosting its early-morning run, which kicks off the day’s doin’s. The run starts at 7 a.m. or thereabouts, and will be accompanied (we hope) by the Kenwood Church’s usual pancake breakfast — though details are still up in the air, according to church officials.
Finally, Kenwood Community Club board member Silvio Amantite has stepped up to oversee getting the parade organized — no small job, as anyone who has done this previously can attest.
The Fourth of July Facebook page is alive and will soon have links for parade entry forms and news about the day as times and events become finalized.
