After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kenwood Firefighters Association will be hosting its traditional Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 16, at Plaza Park on Warm Springs Road. The event will start at 9 a.m. sharp for children through sixth grade. There is no charge for the event and participants should bring their own baskets.

“We have done this event for many years,” said Ben Gulson, chair of this year’s hunt.

“It’s really fun for us to watch the children scramble for the eggs. All of our children have participated over the years and they have fond memories of the morning. Who knows, maybe the Easter Bunny will show!”

Gulson reminds parents to be at the park before 9 a.m. because the starting time is 9 a.m. sharp, and the hunt goes very fast! The fire department will have all their engines on display at the park.
