“In my April 15 story about the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood’s involvement in the upgrades to the Sonoma Valley Regional Park picnic area, my math was off, and I forgot to mention one very important thing. The project was paid for, in large part, by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation. The cost of the entire project was $14,560 (not $11,400, as mentioned in the article), and the Parks Foundation paid $9,760 of that, with our club paying the remaining $4,800.
I’d like to thank Melissa Kelley, executive director of Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation, for all her help in incorporating Rotary into the picnic project. Melissa is a delightful person to work with and is extremely good at her job.” According to 2021-22 Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood President, Ann Peters Be sure to visit the Sonoma Valley Regional Park this spring!
