Oakmont Sunday Symposium

Now live in Berger and on Zoom

May 1, 10:30 a.m., Arlene Blum – “Breaking Trail: Mountains and Molecules”

May 15, 10:30 a.m., Tom Tremont – “It’s MAGIC!”

Now you see it … now you don’t. Ab-ra-ca-dab-ra! For a change of pace, we will be razzled, dazzled and mystified by Oakmont’s Tom Tremont. He promises not to make any of us disappear for longer than a minute or two. And if he cuts you in half, he’ll really try to keep track of both parts. Bring your courage and your curiosity – but please leave your bunny rabbits at home.

For Zoom info and updates visit Oakmont Sunday Symposium will not have a speaker on May 8 to take a break for Mother’s Day.

Arlene Blum, mountaineer, chemist, and author has led successful expeditions to some of the worlds most challenging mountains and also scientific research to protect human health and the global environment. In this dramatic presentation, Arlene shares her favorite images and stories from her climbs such as leading the first all-women ascents of Denali and Annapurna I, as well as her current science and policy work to stop the use of harmful chemicals in everyday products.
