Kenwood July Fourth countdown
By Ann Peters
Rotary’s Fourth of July Shindig is back! After the parade, head on over to Plaza Park for music, food, and fun, all sponsored by the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood.
If youd like to join the parade, register at kenwoodparade.org.
Two bands will perform at the party — the Tonewoods and No Account, featuring Kenwood Press editor- in-chief Paul Goguen on drums.
There will also be a hot dog stand, ice cream, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for purchase. Chateau St. Jean is the sponsoring winery, and rumor has it there will also be plenty of local craft beer on tap.
Bring a lawn chair and/or picnic blanket, find a shady spot in the park, and kick back and enjoy this whole-town gathering. If you’re feeling energetic, you can play cornhole, toss around a beach ball, make giant bubbles, and climb on the play structure (not you, your kids).
The Plaza party is a great way to celebrate the Fourth and leaves you plenty of time to go home and rest up before venturing out to see one of the county’s fireworks displays. See you there!
