Soroptimist Club presents ‘Tea with Lee’

On Thursday, Aug. 11, at 3 p.m., the Soroptimist International Oakmont Wine Country club will host a special event featuring fifth-generation Sonoma County native and local historian, LeeTorliatt.

Torliatt, aged 90 years, served as vice president of the Sonoma County Historical Society and is the author of several books about Sonoma County history.

Torliatt will answer such questions as “How did chickens and Petaluma meet up and become the World’s Egg Basket?,” “How hard was Sonoma County hit by the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918?,” and more.

Iced tea and cookies from Cookies … Take a Bite! will be served. The event will be at the Oakmont Central Activity Center Arts Room, 210 White Oak Dr. All are welcome.
