The Valley of the Moon Garden Club will hold its annual public Autumn Plant Sale on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Altimira Middle School.

Plants will include those that garden club members have divided and potted up for sale, including plants in one-gallon containers or larger.

Also available are hundreds of four-inch pots of winter plants, including greens and peas, succulents, and annual and perennial flowering plants that will grow through winter and flourish next spring. Quality and prices are extraordinary, so that gardeners may have bountiful gardens for food and to benefit pollinators. Bring cash or checks; no credit cards will be accepted.

Altimira Middle School is at 17805 Arnold Dr. in Sonoma. Drive in the south entrance of the circular drive in front of the school to park.

The Valley of the Moon Garden Club has over 100 members, from beginners to Master Gardeners. All are welcome. The club holds nine public meetings each year covering gardening topics with experienced plant people. Refreshments and a plant raffle follow each meeting. The remaining three monthly meetings are devoted to member picnics, potlucks, and a holiday celebration.

Membership is $25 a year. For more information, visit the website at
