Kiwanis offer free Medicare seminars
By Bev Singer and Charles Ensley
The Kiwanis Club of Oakmont is sponsoring two free seminars this fall on Medicare fundamentals and changes. The seminars are sponsored by the California Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, a Medicare-endorsed service. The program sells no products, wishing only to inform the public of Medicare programs and upcoming changes.
The next seminar, addressing Medicare Annual Changes and Choices, will be on Monday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Oakmont East Recreation Center, 7902 Oakmont Dr. No registration is required.
Having previewed these seminars at a recent Kiwanis meeting, our members are glad to offer these complimentary seminars to help community residents understand the choices available under Medicare and its supplemental and prescription plans during its annual change window, Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.
