Dear Zoe, the new independent feature film adapted from the award-winning novel, and produced by local Sonomans Brenda and Marc Lhormer, will be featured at the historic Sebastiani Theatre November 4 to 13. Attendees who seek out inspirational and heartfelt dramas can see the movie on the big screen on the first weekend or can buy tickets for Nov. 10 to 13 when producers Brenda and Marc (who also wrote the screenplay) plan to be in attendance after some of the screenings for Q& As. Dear Zoe will also be available November 4 to rent or buy on multiple video on-demand platforms.

Dear Zoe stars Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) as Tess. Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy) plays her father, Nick, with newcomer Kweku Collins as Tess’s love interest, Jimmy. Justin Bartha (National Treasure: Book of Secrets), Jessica Capshaw (Grey’s Anatomy), and Vivien Lyra Blair (Obi-Wan Kenobi) round out the principal cast.

This film for all ages is a powerful story of grief and resilience told from the point of view of a 16-year-old girl: a coming-of-age drama in which teenage Tess enlists her biological father, a lovable slacker from the wrong side of the tracks, and the charming juvenile delinquent next door, to help her come to grips with the death of her little sister.
