Crime Watch

The following are some of the reports collected from the Glen Ellen and Kenwood area by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The report is short due to limited staff availability at the Sheriff’s station.

Sept. 27 A resident in Kinnybrook called the Sheriff to report hearing a loud burglar alarm. It turned out someone had left a laundry room door open which triggered the alert.

Sept. 27 A resident of Kenwood in the neighborhood near Shaw Park reported that a female was in the park swearing, throwing garbage, and generally causing problems. The resident was concerned because her children played there. An officer responded and the park was empty.

Sept. 28 A different resident in the neighborhood near Shaw Park reported seeing a person using meth in the park. The Sheriff responded and the park was empty, but later found the person walking on Sonoma Highway. The Sheriff confirmed that the subject did not possess any drugs or drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 8 A resident near Misbro Way and Brown Avenue reported that the previous evening, she had told a group vacationing in the property next door to hers to quiet down and that morning her car was keyed.
