Holiday camps offered at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park

The Sonoma Ecology Center will hold two holiday camps for kids aged 8 to 12 at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in Kenwood. The Thanksgiving Camp will run Monday, Nov. 21, and Tuesday, Nov. 22. Winter Break Camp will run Monday, Dec. 19, and Tuesday, Dec. 20.

During the camp, attendees will participate in nature hikes and activities to learn all about the creatures of the park. The exciting two-day camps will include trips to the park’s waterfall and scenic overlooks on Vista Trail and creek exploration along the campground trails. Each day will end with seasonal treats and a closing circle, where young campers can participate in daily debriefs, promoting self-expression and sharing their experiences throughout camp.

The camp will be based out of the Visitor Center. Both camps will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $40.

A Community Foundation Sonoma County Expanded Learning Advancing Educational Equity (ELAEE) grant is sponsoring this program.

This program will be in English. For more information or to register, visit www.sonomaecologycenter. org/events.
