The following are some of the recent calls from the Glen Ellen and Kenwood area responded to by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Sonoma Valley Substation.


January 2 2017
Deputies got a call around 10:30 p.m. from a woman in the 1500 block of Warm Springs Road who was reporting a possible prowler after hearing her back gate open. The woman was fearful because she had a protective order agianst a man who had threatened her. A deputy drove out but could not locate anyone.

A caller reported that a dog was tangled in some bushes and howling in pain on Hoff Road. Animal Control was advised.

A resident of the 100 block of Cypress Ave. called to rpoert that there had been a fradulent charge on her mother's credit card. The card was cancelled but the caller was afraid that maybe someone had stoled the card from her mother's home. A deputy went out to the mother's house and checked out everything.

January 5 2017
A resident in the 8000 block of Sonoma Mt. Road reported a mail theft. The victim said that mail theft has been a recurring problem in his neighborhood. According to postal office documentaiton, a package had been delivered to the victim's mail box, but when he checked, the package was not there.

A suspicious car was reported parked in the caller's driveway for the last eight hours in the 1000 block of Creekside Court.

A man called from the 12000 block of Wolf Run to report that his ex-girlfriend was harassing him. The woman had recently called from a location in Glen Ellen, but she was gone by the time deputies arrived.

January 13 2017
A man in the 12000 block of Wolf Run called to report that an ex-girlfriend was trespassing. He saw her climbing a fence to gain acces to the property. A deputy went out and contacted the woman, who appeared intoxicated. The woman was arrested for suspicion of being under the influecne.

Deputies got a call about a verbal dispute between a man and woman in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. A depity drove out and handled the situtation.

A woman in the area of Lawndale Road and Buckeye called to report that she has seen a man riding a horse and kicking it at a level she feels is abusive. She said that the man currently wsa entering Annadel State Park with the horse. A deputy went out but could not locate anything.

Deputies got a call from the 8000 block of Brown Ave. about ongoign issues with a neighbor. The caller said the neighbor had been calling and saying weird things, and the caller wanted to know how to handle the situation.

Staff of a group home in the 3000 block fo Warm Springs Road called to report that a client was getting violent and threatening to vandalize computers. A deputy went out and handled the situation.

Neighbors living near Plaza Park reported hearing gunshots. Deputies went out but could not find anything.

January 22 2017
A caller reported that she almost got bitten by a neighborhood dog twice, and it was the same dog that tried to bite someone else two weeks ago. The matter was referred to Animal Control

A resident of Cypress Ave reported that her credit card was fraudulently used at a Marshall's department store in Vallejo.

Deputies got a call from a resident in the 3000 block of Nicolini Road. The caller said that a deputy from Colorado showed up at his door and tried to arrest him. The caller said he felt the visit might have been related to an old dispute he had with a law enforcement officer back when he lived in Colorado.

Deputies got a call form a resident in the 4000 block of Cavedale Road about nearby gunshots, one which came close to striking the caller. A deputy went out but could not fine the origin of the gunshots.

February 1 2017
Deputies got a call from a resident in the 3000 block of Cavedale about a trespasser. The resident was sleeping in the garage when he felt someone looking at him. He saw a male suspect, and asked him what he was doing. The suspect then asked for food, grabbed a piece of cactus leaf, and began walking down the driveway, continually stopping and looking around. The caller said the suspect appeared to be under the influence of something. A deputy arrived and started searching the property for the intruder, and eventually saw the suspect hiding. The deputy told the suspect to lay on the ground, but the suspect failed to comply, and instead snd said he was leaving. The suspect then picked up a BBQ fork from the ground, which the deputy took away. Another deputy arrived to help take down the suspect, who had become very agitiated and was resisting. Eventually the suspect was restrained and taken to jail for suspicion of burglary, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.

February 4 2017
Several gunshots were heard in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Madrone Road. A deputy could not locate anything.

February 5 2017
Vandalism to a vehicle was reported in the 15000 block of Arnold Dr. Someone had taken a key and scratched a large X on the side panel and a profanity pn the hood. The rear bumper had also been keyed. The vehicle's owner said he had a suspect in mind.

February 6 2017
At around 1:30 a.m., deputy responded to a possible domestic battery call at a home on Lawndale Road. A woman said her boyfriend was intoxicated, yelling at her, and knocked a plate of food out of her hands. In addition, there had been a physical altercation between the woman's son and her boyfriend. A deputy tried to sort everything out, and eventually took the boyfriend to jail under suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

February 9 2017
Deputies received a call from the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. reporting that a man was acting aggressively, screaming, mumbling, and telling the caller that he was a tweaker and that he shouldn't be there. The man punched a sign in anger. The caller thought the man might be under the influence. A deputy drove out but could not located the man.

February 10 2017
Deputies got a call from the Kenwood Fire Department about aan intoxicated woman who had entered the fire station. A deputy drove out and handled the situation.

February 12 2017
A resident of the 100 block of Warm Springs Road said that after she returned from the car wash in Santa Rosa, she found an iPhone on the seat that probably belonged to one of the employees of the car wash. A sheriff’s deputy took possession of the phone.

A resident in the 14000 block of Arnold drive called and said they found a white pit bull. The caller said they would take the dog to a veterinarian to see if there was an ID chip.

February 18 2017
A resident in the area of Arnold Dr. and Chauvet Road called at 7 a.m. to report that a vehicle had been parked for about an hour with the headlights on. By the time a deputy went to check things out, the vehicle was gone.

February 19 2017
A vehicle was broken into in the 2000 block of Warm Springs Road. A window had been smashed to gain access. The only thing missing was a pair of sunglases.

A man at a residence on Sonoma Glen Circle called deputies to self surrender for an outstanding warrant in another county. A deputy drove out and met the man, As the deputy was taking possession of the man's car keys and wallet, he discovered some cocaine.The man was booked for the outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance.

February 22 2017
A caller said as he was cleaning out a home in the 100 block of Adobe Canyon Road and readying it for sale, two firearms were found. The weapons were turned over to deputies for destruction,

March 7 2017
A caller reported finding a pitbull in the 15000 block of Arnold Dr. and could not find the owner. The matter was referred to Animal Control.

March 10 2017
Deputies got a call from the 13000 block of Yell Lane regarding a 59-year old male relative that was intoxicated, yelling, throwing things and challenging others in the house to a fight. A deputy drove out and found the man asleep. He was already on probation, which required that he not drink any alcohol. The man was arrested for a probation violation.

A resident of the 300 block of Treehaven Lane reported that a woman showed up at the back door saying she was supposed to meet an electrician there. The resident told the woman she had the wrong house, and took a picture of her license plate as she was leaving. A deputy drove out but was unable to locate the woman.

A woman was reported acting eratically in front of a business in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr., and eventually just sat down and wouldn't leave. A deputy went out and handled the situation.

A motorist in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Trinity Road called to report passing by what looked like a struggle beween a man and a woman in a car. A deputy went out and talked to the man and woman separately, with the woman saying there was no physical violence and that her injuries were gotten when she was running away from a local Glen ELlen restaurant the two were dining at. It turns out that the woman had gotten intoxicated, ran away, climbed on a dumpster and then jumped over a fence. The man drove out to try and find her, and discovered her at Trinty Road and Sonoma Hwy. running in and out of traffic. Fearing for her safety, the man grabbed the woman and tried to get her in their car. The woman was arrested for public intoxication.

Multiple gunshots were heard in the area of Bennett Valley Road and Bennett Valley Lane. A deputy drove out but could not find anything.

A resident of the 3000 block of Warm Springs Road called to report there were trespassers on her property. She said she had previous problems with trespassing.

March 15 2017
A woman called to say that back in late December, she believed she was drugged at a restaurant in Glen Ellen. She had gone out to dinner with a friend and while dining, she felt like she was paralyzed and fell to the floor. The woman said she was taken to the hospital and treated, and that a toxology screening only showed alcohol in her system. A deputy spoke to all the parties involved, and determined it was unclear as to exaclty what had happened.

A resident in the 10000 block of London Ranch Road reported being a victim of credit card fraud.

A woman staying in a vaction rental on Turtle Creek called at 4 p.m. to report a strange man pounding on her door demanding to come inside. The mam then walked around the house pounding on other doors. The man eventually got in his car and drove off. A deputy drove to the scene but could not locate the man.

Deputies got a call from the 12000 block of Adine Court from a woman who said that someone had removed the locks from an outside shed. She had no idea who would do that.

Deputies got a call regarding someone who broke into a home in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. and stole food and other items. The caller said there was also a knife left on the floor, and that the perpetrator probably gained access throug an unlocked window.

Overnight, branches of cherry trees were hacked off at Landmark Vineyards.

A couple in the 900 block of Lawndale Road reported getting two threatening calls from a man the with had had a minor verbal altercation with.

Someone housesitting in the 900 block of Egg Farm Lane called at 6 a.m. to report hearing strange voices outside. A deputy drove out but could not find anything awry.

Deputies got a complaint about loud music coming from a residence in the 15000 block of Arnold Dr.

A number of juveniles stole an 18-pack of Budweiser and an iPod from a driver of a beer truck who was making a delivery at a market.

Deputies got a call about a gunshot victim in the 3000 block of Cavedale Road. A deputy arrived on the scene to find a man suffering from an accidental gunshot wound. The man said he had been walking out of his barn with a rifle when the rifle fell, hit the ground, and accidentally discharged. The man was taken to the hospital.

at 12:30 a.m., deputies got a call about a suspicious white van parked in the 100 block of Cavedale Road.

A motorist in the area of Dunbar Road and Sonoma Highway called to report what looked like a man pouring paint into a creek. A unit went out and saw paint on the road. A deputy went and spoke with a nearby worker who said a can of paint had fallen out the back of the a truck and spilled on the roadway.

Deputies received a report at 8 a.m. about a dog that attacked a young buck in the area of Slattery Road. The matter was referred to Animal Control.

A caregiver taking care of a client in the 300 block of Treehaven Lane called to report that a relative of her client was on the premises, and was not suppsed to be there per a prior agreement. The caregiver said the relative had left, but that she would call ther sheriff back if the relative returned.

A resident of the 100 block of Riddle Road called to report that someone had poured something on the side of her car. She thought it was a neighbor with whom she’d been having a dispute. A deputy drove out and saw what looked like coffee on the side of the car. The deputy gave the caller information about how to obtain a restraining order.

A resident in the area of Marty Dr. And Madrone Road reported that a motor home with someone living three had been parked for two weeks.

A Greene St. resident called to report that there were 52 fraudelent charges on her cresit card statement, each one for $2.99.

At 4:30 a.m., deputies got a call from someone whao was passing by the laundramat. The caller siad the fron door was wide opne, but no one was around. A deputy drove out and determined that nothing had been taken from the business.

Deputies got another call about a motor home still parked in the area of Marty Dr. and Madrone Road. A deputy went out and contacted the owner, who said the vehicle was going to be driven to Southern California the next day.

A resident in the 300 block of Treehaven Lane reported that two males had been going door to door in the area claiming to be contractors for PG&E, but they didn't seem authentic. A deputy drove out but was unable to locate anyone.

Deputies got a call from the 1000 block of Creekside Road regarding two men who showed up at the door and said they were contractors for PG&E, but the caller said they seemed "hinky." A day later, a resident of the 44000 block of Warm Springs Road also called about two men saying they worked for PG&E. A deputy went out to the area but could not locate anyone.

April 6 2017
Deputies got a call from a resident in the 9000 bock of Clyde Ave. reporting that he got a call from a collection agency. It turned out that someone had fraulently opened up a Verizon account in San Diego using the resident's name and social security number.

A deputy was driving in the area of Dunbar Road and Sonoma Hwy. and saw a vehicle drfitng over the fog line a number of times. The deputy stopped the vehicle and its male driver. The man appeared intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. The man said he had drunk one beer. The man was turned over to the California Highway patrol for further investigation.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Bennett Valley Road and Keiser Ranch Roads. A white Mini Cooper was partially blocking a driveway in the area. The car had a company logo on it. A deputy called the company and it turned out the car belonged to one of its employees and had broken down.

A resident of the 3000 block of Nicolini Road called to report seeing a man come out of the bushes on his property, covered with burrs. The resident asked the man if he knew where he was, and the man replied he had come from some trail and was trying to make his way to Cavedale Road. He then walked off. A deputy drove out but could not locate the man.

ABout 8 a.m., deputies got call from a motorist in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. who found a friendly Rottweiler mix who had gladly jumped into the motorist's vehicel when approached. Animal Control was called

Deputies got a call from a resident in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. regarding a man on site making verbal and physical threats. The resident said she would call back if the situation escalated. Nothing further.

April 18 2017
A caller in the area of Arnold Dr. and Madrone Road called to say a man walking in the area matched a description of a suspect in a recent sexual assault on the Overlook Treail in Sonoma. Deputies went out and determined he was not the man they were looking for.

April 19 2017
A friend stopped by a friend's home in the 900 block of Robertson Road and discovered that someone had used bolt cutters to cut a lock on an outside storage shed. It appeared that nothing had been taken.

April 20 2017
A suspicious vehicle was reported driving up and down Schultz Road. A man and woman were inside. A deputy drove out, located the vehicle, and pulled it over. The couple said they were just hanging out talking. Asked if anything illegal was in the car, one of the passengers said there was a small amount of methamphetamine, which there was. A 55-year-old man was arrested for misdemeanor possession, giving false ID, and for an outstanding bench warrant. A 31-year-old woman was arrested for an outstanding bench warrant.

A resident in the 13000 block of Henno Road called to report a suspicious vehicle with a male and a female parked in a turnout at the end of the resident's property. The resident said she suspected drug activity had been going on at that location because she had found needles there before. A deputy drove out but could not locate anyone.

April 21 2017
A woman in the 800 block of Lorna Dr. called at 11:45 p.m. to report that a friend who was staying with her had punched her and torn out some of her hair. The caller had then run out of the house, and her alleged attacker had locked her out. A deputy drove out and spoke with the two women. Apparently there was a dispute over non-payment of rent. Neither one wanted to press charges.

A volunteer who was part of a clean-up effort in Glen Ellen reported seeing what might be a handgun in a gulley off of Arnold Dr. A deputy came out and it turned out to be some kind of BB-gun.

A suspicious male was seen parked a few times in front of Kenwood School in the early afternoon. A deputy drove out and talked to the man, who was jysi taking a break from work on a nearby job.

A homeowner in the 5000 block of Warm Springs Road reported that he had video footage of a male and female trespassing on the property, checking door handles and peeking through windows.

There was a report of a suspicious vehicle on St. Francis Winery property around 10:30 p.m. The man and the woman in the car said they were having vehicle problems, but they had been there for over an hour, and were seen walking in the winery's vegetable garden. A deputy went out and handled the situation.

A resident of the 4000 block of Trinity Road called to report that their mailbox had been broken and mail stolen.

Someone stole a wrought iron counch and bird cage from the outsie of a home in the 300 block of Cypres Ave.

A woman living in the 10000 block of Slattery Road reported there was a posting on a local social media site that accused the caller of being a thief, which she said was a false statement. She was informed of the process to file a civil harassment suit.

A man and his son driving in the 1000 block of Addobe Canyon got into an argument. The son got out of the car and walked away. The man called deputies after 45 minutes of driving around looking for his son. Evntaully the son called and told the father where he was located.

Deputies got a call at 11:30 p.m. regarding a loud party with lots of people happening on Bonnie Way. A deputy went out and quieted down the partiers.

A woman reported that a suspicious male had been hanging around the neighborhood on Bristol Road and now was in front of her house. A deputy drove out but could not locate the man.

Deputies got a call from the 900 block of Via Roble about a suspicious situation. A man claiming to work for PG&E had come onto her property earlier and asked to be let inside to look at a transformer. The man's vehicle had no PG&E logo. She contacted PG&E who said there was no one in the area from the company.

A resident of the 2000 block of Warm Springs Road called to report someone shooting near their property. A deputy drove out and spoke with the shooter, who was engaged in target practice on a 110-acre property. The shooter had actually called the sheriff earlier to alert them he would be target shooting. The deputy determined no laws were being violated.

A off-site homeower of a property in the 2000 block of Adobe Canyon Road called to report that a realtor trying to sell the home had gone to the site and found that severe damage had been done to a rear French door. Estimated loss: $1200.

May 1 2017
A resident of the 300 block of Lawndale Road called to report feeling threatened by an anonymous letter she just received. The letter asked the recipient to drop a lawsuit and at the end of the letter said, "We all must die; it's how we live that makes a difference."

A neighbor of a residence in the 100 block of Ranch Bonita reported seeing an oopn door to the residence. A deputy went out, checked the property, and everything appered in order.

There was an attempted burglary in the 100 block of Laurel Ave. A gate had been kicked in, some 2x4s had been brroken, and the door to the residence was open. It appeared that nothing had been taken.

A motorist an Sonoma Hwy. called around noon to report they were following a female driver that almost crashed three times and appeared to be impaired. The caller said the woman had just taken a right on Madrone Road. A deputy went out but could not locate the vehicle

A driver in the 4000 block of Warm Springs Road called at midnight to report a crash scene where the responsible party had just fled the scene in a damaged vehicle. SHP reported that they were on their way to the site.

May 6 2017
A resident in the area of Marty Dr. and Thomas St. called to report her car had been vandalized overnight. There was severe damage to the hood, bumper and doors. A deputy wnet out to take a look and reported tha it appeared the damage was done by a blunt object, like a hammer.

Deputues got a call at 4:45 a.m. regarding gunshots in the area of Maple Ave. A deputy drove ut but could not find the source of the shots.

There was a report of a graffiti incident at Dunbar School.

A resident in the 400 block of Adobe Canyon Road called at 9:20 p.m. to report that a man was parked in front of the home with the engine running, and possibly passed out. A deputy drove out but could not locate anything.

A concerned citizen called at 10:30 p.m. to report that the lights were still on at the Glen Ellen Village Market, the produce was still outside, and three vehicles were in the parking lot. And no one answered when the citizen knocked on the front doors. A deputy drove out and it turned out just to be a cleaning crew.

A resident living near the Kenwood shopping center reported hearing people yelling and possibly fighting in the courtyard area of the complex. A deputy drove out and couldn't find anything but kids playing ping-pong at Palooza Restuarant.

A resident of the 2000 block of Lawndale Road called to report being scammed. The caller had tried to buy an ATV through Craig's list, sent the seller the funds, but then the seller demanded more money.

A resident of the 1000 block of Henoo Road called at 12:30 a.m. to report that her burglar alaram had just gone off while she was asleep. A deputy drove out, searched the house and the grounds, and everything was secure.

Deputies got a call about a pit bull rinning loose around the Sonoma Developmental Center. The caller said this was an ongoing issue. The matter was referred to Animal Contol.

May 15 2017
A resident of the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. called at 2 a.m. to report an acquaintance was singind in the stairwell of where she lived. Then she said the person had moved to the roof, and then had left. A deputy drove out but could not locate anyone.

May 16 2017
A motorist was flagged down by a crying young male in the 1000 block of Adobe Canyon Road. The youth said he had been dropped off, and asked to be taken home because he had been there for 12,000 years. A deputy went out and located the subject. While in the police car, the subject said he had recently taken acid. The deputy determined the man was under the influence, and was arrested for public intoxication.

May 16 2017
A credit card of a resinet in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. was fraudulently used to buy $400 worth of shoes.

May 20 2017
Deputies got multiple calls around 8 p.m. and after about a loud party with music going on in the 1000 block of London Ranch Road. A deputy drove out to the residence where one of partiers said they were having a party after a couple had gotten married. There was an agreement to turn the music down. But when the deputy got to the home of one of the original callers to give an update, it was clear that he music had been turned back up. Later that night, the deputy drove back to the party house and issued a citation for disturbing the peace.

Deputies got a call at 12:30 a.m. from a resident in t he area of kenwood Schol. The caller reported hearing a goup of juveniles on school grounds, poossibly bouncing a basketball. By the time a deputy drove out to the site, the juveniles were gone.

A resident in the 600 block of Campagna Lane called at 9:21 a.m. to report a suspicious vehicle with one female outside the property that had been parked for quite some time. The woman said she had lost her keys. A deputy drove out and helped the woman move along.

A deputy responded to a suspicious circumstances call in the 1000 block of London Ranch Road. The deputy contacted the reporting party, who told the deputy that he found a dead rat had been placed on top of the residence's gate code box, and that a number of plants along the outside of a fence had been pulled out. The reporting party said that there had been a party at the residence a couple of nights before.

A resident in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called to report an ongoing issue of people jumping over her fence and walking across her property. She said her neighbor had just told her of a recent incident. Deputies told the woman to have someone call when the activity is happening.

Deputies got a call from the 9000 block of Sonoma Hwy. about a stolen sheep. The caller said he had a pretty good idea who stole the sheep. The caller said he didn't want to get the alleged suspect in trouble, he just wanted the sheep back.

A resident in the 1000 block of Hill Road called to report a trespassing neighbor.

Deputies got a call at 8:45 p.m. about a man going through the trash in the Kenwood Shopping Center. A deputy went out and contacted the man, who appeared to be under the influence. The man admitted he was a drug user. A search of the man came up with a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphenalia.

Deputies got a call from a clerk at a store in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. about a $100 bill from a customer that wouldn't go through the counterfeit detector. The bill turned out to be genuine.

A possible prowler was reported at 2:20 a.m. by a resident in the 900 block of Jane Court. The resident heard sounds of jumping in the back yard. A deputy went out but could not find anything.

A possible prowler was reported in the 300 block of Adobe Canyon Road. The caller said she thought someone was inside the house. After further inspection by the caller, she determine that no ne was actually in the home and she might have been worng.

A resident in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called to report a bunch of juveniles hanging around in the area. The caller said the juveniles had antagonized her dog before, as well as verbally accosted her.

June 1 2017
A resident in the 6000 block of Cavedale Road called to report that a trespasser had taken a critter camera. The caller said there had been earlier problems with squatters in a home nearby.

A deputy drove out to the 5000 block of Warm Springs Road regarding a possible burglary in progress. After arriving at the residence, the duty heard footsteps and then saw that a man was on the roof, apparently trying to gain entrance. The deputy told the man to come down, which he did. The man was arrested for suspicion of attempted burglary.

A resident in the 2000 block of Lawndale Road reported seeing some vans outside the gate of a property that was currently vacated. The caller said he saw a female jump the gate from the inside and then run to one of the vans. A deputy drove out but could not locate anything.

A woman from the Netherlands who was camping up in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park with her husband for several days reported a theft. She had taken her travel bag into the shower and someone stole it. Inside the bag was a pair of expensive dentures and prescription glasses. Total loss: $5,000.

A property owner in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. reported that on July 4 someone kicked in a fiberglass panel and spray painted the word "garbage" on it. The property has multiple no trespassing signs and the owner suspects kids in area. He called for document the incident and request an extra patrol.

Deputies responding to a 9:45 p.m. call about a strange car parked at Chateau St. Jean Winery. Deputies found it parked between two rows of vines. When they shined a spotlight on it, the car took off, left the property and headed down Sonoma Hwy. toward Sonoma. The driver pulled over when Deputies lit up their squad car. He consented to a search which turned up no contraband or weapons. The driver said he worked at the vineyard, but had no driver’s license and decided to sleep on the spot. He ran because he thought the Deputies were vineyard security, but pulled over immediately when he realized it was the police chasing him. He was cited for driving without a license.

A Laurel Ave. resident found her door ajar and items missing after she returned from an afternoon shopping trip at 6 p.m. She wasn’t too concerned since she typically leaves to door unlocked. A closer inspection of the back of the house revealed a missing wallet and some prescriptions gone. The wallet contained a driver’s license, photos and a debit card, which was immediately cancelled with no withdrawals. Victim estimated the loss at $40.

Multiple gunshots were reported in the Summerhill Road area. A deputy went out, heard some shots coming from nearby large piece of property that was inaccesible.

A driver speeding down Henno Road towards Warm Springs Road sideswiped Pastor Jim Hill’s white Prius, parked in front of the Glen Ellen Community Church. This triggered the church’s motion detector light and the driver backed up quickly, smashing the corner of Mayflower Hall. The driver then pulled forward, smashing Hill’s car again and sped off turning right on Warm Springs Road. California Highway Patrol deputies pulled over the driver and vehicle at the top of Carquinez Avenue and performed a breathalyzer test. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and will be charged with a hit-and-run.

A resident of the 2000 block of Keiser Road said he had been gone for six nights. When he returned, the television was on, though it wasn't working when he left originally. No other person or vehicle was on site. Upon reflection, he said Comcast may have fixed the television hook-up remotely, and that the television may have been on the"on" position.

The passengers, an older couple, were out of the vehicle. They were driving and had moved over to let another car pass, but went too far and off the road. A homeowner not on site notified deputies at 10 p.m. about receiving a call from a neighbor concerning a suspicious black SUV parked in front of the home for abut an hour. A deputy drove out the call was cleared.

When they had returned at 10 p.m. after being out, they saw a man in the guest house, but they thought that no one else was supposed to be on the property. A deputy went out and it turned out to be a misunderstanding - it was OK for the man to be there.

Deputies got a call from a Riddle Road resident who said that she had been followed by a neighbor to her husband's work place on Arnold Dr. A deputy went out and talked to all the parties, determined there was an ongoing civil dispute, and encouraged everyone to work on resolving thier problems.

The caller reported that a young intoxicated male in his 20's was outside the door carrying a skateboard and wanting to get inside. The male then took off on the skateboard toward Sonom Hwy. A deputy drove out but could not located the man.

Deputies got a call from a resient of Sonoma Glen Circle reporting that he was walking his dog when a neighbor sprayed them with a hose for no apparent reason. A deputy drove out, contacted the hoser, and told him not to do it again.

Deputies got a call form a resident in the 100 block of Adobe Canyon Road around 9:30 p.m. abut a possible prowler. The caller said she thought she heard someone in the back yard making crashing noises. The caller said she saw no vehicle outside and that her six dogs were barking like crazy. A deputy went out and looked around, but could not find anything suspicious.

Around 11 p.m., deputies got a call from a man int eh 13000 block of Arnold Dr. The man wanted to talk to someone at the FBI because he had heard thet the Klu Klux Klan was having some sort of conference in a bar in Cotati. He was advised to find the phone number of the FBI online. The dispatcher noted that the man might have been drinking.

A resident of the 1300 block of Hill Road called at 10:30 pm to report an unknown male knocking on the door saying he was there to deliver some legal papers. The caller said she heard the man drop the papers on the porch, but she didn't know if he had left the area. A deputy drove out but could not locate anyone.

Deputies got a number of calls early in the morning about people hearing a number of gunshots. One caller reported hearing seven shots, possibly from a nearby vacant house. Deputies drove out and walked around the area, and discovered a number of empty fireworks cylinders.

A Kenwood resident called at 9:15pm to report an excessively loud party with amplified music in the area of Via Cantera and Via Roble in Kenwood Vista Estates. A deputy drove out there about 10pm, saw a lot of passenger vans leaving the party house area, and found that the music had stopped.

A resident of the 2000 block of Trinity Road called to say a male stranger was on the property. The man said he had shot a buck and was looking for the animal. A deputy went out and contacted the man, who said he had shot the buck on his girlfriend's property and the buck had run to the neighbor's property. He said he had the right hunting paperwork.

Around 11pm, deputies got a call from the 2000 block of Trinity Road. The caller said a man had come to the door stating that he had just crashed his vehicle. A deputy drove out to the site. The man said he did not need any medical attention. The matter was turned over to the California Highway Patrol.

Then a letter arrived in the mail talking about the girlfriend in an inappropriate manner, and also enclosing a picture of the girlfriend.

Renters staying in a home in the 200 block of Hoff Road called at 1:45 a.m. because the garage door had just opened up. The house was a s separate building then the garage. A male's voice was also heard. A deputy drove out, did not find anything suspicious, and secured the area.

Recently, the resident had been walking with her young son when the neighbor walked out, took a picture and said "gotcha". The resident said she would like to file a restraining order against the neighbor. Deputies were unsuccessful in attmpts to contact the neighbor.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Trinity Road. The caller said a Ford Ranger with a camper shell had been parked there for a few hours in front of a vacant house. A deputy went out and everything seemed fine.

Deputies got a call from a motorist saying there was a badly injured deer in the area of the 4000 block of Warm Springs Road. The matter was referred to Animal Control.

Deputies got a report of a possible stolen and abandoned Chevy truck that had been dumped in the 9000 block of Bennett Valley Road. The caller said the ignition had been punched out.

An off-site homeowner called to report seeing, via camera, trespassers on his property in the 2000 block of Trinity Road. The caller could see a truck parked in front of a garage with a man and a woman. The caller said the vehicle had left and gave a description. On the way to the scene, a deputy passed the suspect vehicle and stopped it. The caller did not want to press any charges, but just wanted the deputy to tell them not to come onto the property again.

A motorist on Sonoma Highway near Madrone Road called at 8:40 p.m. to report another vehicle crossing the lines and fluctuating speeds in an unsafe manner.

A resident in the 13000 block of Gibson St. said that about 10 days ago he and his wife held a party at the home, with about 30 people, most of whom they knew. The next day his wife could not find her diamond wedding ring. She had last seen it when she put it in her jewelry box. A survey of the partygoers turned up no information, so they finally called the sheriff. The ring is valuesd at between $8000- $12,000.

Various items had been taken from the garage and residence, including camping and fishing equipment, and numerous firearms. Estimated loss $11,500.

Deputies got a call from a man in a restaurant at Jack London Village who said he had just been assaulted by another man. Apparently, the caller said he had met a female a few days before and they arranged to have date. While they were sitting at the bar, the woman's huband came in and was visibly upset. The husband grabbed the man by the throat and said he was going to kill him. The husband then left and was seen driving away, apparently with kids in the car. After speaking with deputies, the victim declined to press charges. He was advised that perhaps he should not see the woman anymore.

A resident in the area of Jessie St. and Frederica Ave. reported that two travel bags had been lying in a ditch for 4-5 days. It turned out they were empty.

A male was reported screaming in the area of the courtyard of the Kenwood shopping center. He was last reported walking toward the bus stop still yelling. A deputy drove out but could not locate the man.

Deputies got a call from an Enivironmental Protection Agency crew that was cleaning up a site in the 12000 block of Dunbar Road. It was reported that there was some kind of unexploded ordinance. A bomb crew came out, took the item out to a field and set off a counter-charge. It was determined the device was inert.

A resident of the 300 block of West Trinity Road called to report a suspicious vehicle parked in front of his house, with a man taking pictures. The caller's home had not burned in the fire, but hose surrounding did. The man said he was working for an unsurance company. By the time a deputy arrived, the man was gone.

An anonymous caller got in touch with dispatch close to 9 p.m. to report that a neighbor was cleaning their rugs and the noise was in violation of county laws. Dispatch told the caller that there was no county noise ordinance, after which the caller became aggravated. The caller refused to give his name or the address form where he was calling.

Deputies got a call from a resident in the 2000 block of Cavedale Road regarding a suspicious vehicle parked on the property. The caller said it might belong to an ex-girfriend who had been evicted from the property last year. The caller couldn't see anyone on the property. He was told by deputies this was a civil situation.

A petty theft was reported in the 100 block of Randolph Ave. A resident called to say she had lef tthe home while th esidence was being cleaned by a service brought in by her undurer. When she returned she found tha four necklaces were missing, with an estimated total value of $127.60.

Deputies got a call at 5:30 a.m. from a motorist about a man down on the side of the road in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Trinity Road. A deputy went out and it turned out the man had been walking to Santa Rosa, got tired, and decided to lay down for a nap. He declined a ride.

A resident of Mound Ave. reported that 30 minutes before, someone in a car had driven up to the gate. Thinking it was someone to visit people staying at the home, the male driver was given the gate code. The resident went out to meet the vehicle but it had disappeared. The visitors staying at the home said they had no idea who the man was. Deputies advised the resident to change the gate code.

A resident in the 10000 block of Williams Road said he heard a disturbance aruon 2 a.m., went outside, and saw a man and a woman arguing in a nearby vehicle. The resident said something, prompting the female to get out of the car, walk toward the resident and use threatening language. The resident went back inside his home and said the two were still arguing.

A caller from the 11000 block of Henno Road reported that a friend was assaulted by a relative back in October. The caller had just found out, and wanted a sheriff to come by because the alleged assaulter was on the premises. A deputy drove out and made contact with all parties. It turned out the alleged victim did not want to press any charges.

A resident of the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. reported a package was never delivered though the company's records show that it was. The package was supposed to contain boxes of protein bars, an estilate loss of a little over $100.

The owner of a residence in the 200 block of Lawndale Road called at 8 p.m. The owner had rented the home to a family. The family was out of town, but it appeared from looking at Snapchat that their son was throwing a party that included juveniles and alcohol. A deputy drove out, but there was no party going on.

Deputies got a call about 10 p.m. regarding a loud party with yelling and drinking going in the 15000 block of Sonoma Hwy. Also an apparent physical altercation may have occurred. A deputy drove out and the situation was resolved.
