The following are some of the recent calls from the Glen Ellen and Kenwood area responded to by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Sonoma Valley Substation.


January 2 2019
An older female fell out of her parked car in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr., suffering facial injuries. Apparently, the woman was intoxicated, and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

January 3 2019
Two shots were heard in the area of Burbank Ave. and Martin St. No other shots were heard after that.

January 3 2019
A resident of the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. reported that he had ordered a cell phone, but it was sent to a wrong address and never returned. The caller wanted the sheriff to take a report.

A car was broken into as it was parked on the Arnold Dr. side of Sonoma Valley Regional Park.

An employee of the Sonoma Developmental Center said she had left her car unlocked at 7:45 a.m. When she returned at 11 a.m., she saw her driver side door was open, and that her wallet had been stolen. The wallet contained credit cards along with $250 in cash. She later found out that one of the cards had been used to charge about $550 in items in various establishments in Sant Rosa.

A resident of Cecelia Dr. received a strange phone call from a man who said that he had found the resident's daughter's cell phone at Sugar Bowl ski resort while he was skiing. The resident said the daughter's cell phone was not lost.

A resident in the area of Enterprise Road called with concern that an elderly friend was being scammed. The elderly man had gotten a phone call supposedly from Publishers Clearinghouse stating that the man had won $5 million. Deputies tried to contact the man but there was no answer.

January 10 2019
At 6:41 p.m., deputies got a call about two trucks parked at the Intersection of Dunbar Road and Sonoma Hwy. The caller said the trucks had their lights off, and that there were tow males in their twenties. Two units out and contacted the subjects, who had gotten stuck in the mud after trying to spin donuts with their trucks.

A loose horse was reported at 4:30 a.m. in the 13000 block of Sonoma Hwy. Animal Control was called to help.

Someone broke into the coin machine at the 24-hour laundry in Glen Ellen. It is not know how much was stolen.

Six to nine gunshots were reported in the area of Trinity Road and Sonoma Hwy. A deputy drove out but could not find anything.

Deputies got a call at 2 a.m. from a resident of Clyde Ave. about someone ringing the doorbell, banging on the front door, and trying to open the door. A deputy drove out to the scene but could not locate anyone.

An aggressive panhandler was reported near the Glen Ellen Post Office. A deputy went out but could not locate the man.

A manger of a property in the 15000 block of Sonoma Hwy. called to report that someone had cut 16 feet of a barbed wire fence. Estimated loss: $800.

A brown wallet was found on the ground in a parking lot in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. There was no ID in the wallet, but there was an ATM card. A deputy was able to find the wallet's owner by the name on the card.

A man was reported sleeping in a truck in the parking lot of the Kenwood Depot. He had been spotted there many times before, and asked not to park there. The caller was advised to perhaps put up a "No Trespassing" or "No Overnight Camping Sign."

A resident in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. reported that a black Schwinn bike with red handles had been locked against a light pole for four days, and no one had come by to claim it.

A resident of the 900 block of Madrone Road reported that a package ordered from eBay had apparently been sent to a wrong address, and the caller needed a police report that he could send to eBay.

Deputies got a call about a loud barking dog in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. The caller said the dog had been barking over an hour straight.

January 19 2019
Deputies got a complaint about a loud party with outside amplified music in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. A deputy drove out but could not find anything.

January 20 2019
A resident in the area of Warm Springs Road and Wolf Run reported that people were dumping garbage by the side of the road. The resident asked for extra patrols in the area.

An ID and debit card were found on the ground in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr.

A resident of the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. called to report that a relative was harassing her with multiple phone calls, and would not stop when asked to do so. The caller said there weren't any specific threats. The caller was advised to think about getting a restraining order.

January 28 2019
Deputies got a call from a resident of Waldruhe Heights who said his neighbor was yelling and was fearful the neighbor was damaging a fence. There was an ongoing dispute between the neighbors regarding a fence line and an easement. After the yelling neighbor had gone back to his house, the caller checked on the fence, which turned out not to be damaged.

A resident called from the the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. to report that a group of mailboxes were all open. The caller said he was expecting a package that didn't arrive.

A resident of Frederica Ave. called to report a male transient was getting water and electricity from outside the Kenwood Depot. The man and his truck had been there a number of times before, and had been spoken to by sheriff's deputies in the past. A deputy drove out but the man had already left.

February 3 2019
A customer at a business in the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. called to report that another customer appeared intoxicated, was threatening the clerk, and apparently had broken an item. The clerk got on the phone and said he didn't want the sheriff to come out, but a unit was already on its way. Upon arrival a deputy found that the the intoxicated individual had fallen upon leaving the store and suffered a head injury. An ambulance was called and the injured man was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

February 5 2019
A resident in the 1400 block of Adobe Canyon Road reported that someone had fraudulently used one of her bank checks. the perpetrator had cashed a check for $232 at Oliver's Market.

Deputies got a call from a resident of the 13000 block of Henno Road reporting that a suspicious white Chevy truck had been parked along the side of the road for quite some time.

February 12 2019
Swimming pool-related items and equipment were stolen from a residence on Via Roble. Estimated loss: $9,000.

February 17 2019
Deputies got a call from a resident in the 800 block of Martin St. about a vandalism incident. The resident reported that 5-11 p.m. the night before, someone had spray painted their car with red paint. The caller estimated it would cost about $400 to repaint. Deputies got another call from the same area about another car that had been sprayed with red paint.

A caller from the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. reported an ongoing issue with a relative. The relative had shown up on the property yelling and screaming. The yeller had left the scene, and the caller was afraid the relative was going to a particular location in Santa Rosa to cause trouble. Santa Rosa police was informed.

A loud party was reported in the 15000 block of Thomas St.

There were two reports around 10 p.m. about shots heard in the village area of Kenwood. A deputy went out but could not locate where the shots had come from.

A vineyard worker had parked on the shoulder of the 11000 block of Sonoma Hwy. to work in a vineyard. When she returned, she discovered for front passenger side window was smashed and someone had taken her purse, which had her rent money inside.

A woman who had been at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park the day before called to report something unusual. She saw a man climbing a cliff with a child. The child had a busted lip and seemed in distress. The caller said at the time she didn't have cell service so she didn't call the day before

A female resident in the 1000 block of Chauvet Road called to report that a neighbor had been looking through her bathroom window as she was getting out of the shower. She decided not to press charges but wanted deputies to take an informational report.

March 1 2019
at 2:40 a.m., two households in the 900 block of Cecelia Ave. reported hearing multiple gunshots. A unit went out but could not hear any shots.

A woman living in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. said she has evidence that three weeks ago, someone had come into her apartment and put a dent in the floor.

March 3 2019
A resident in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. reported that someone had sprayed grafitti on a utility box that was in the front yard. It turned out that other utility boxes in the area had been tagged as well.

March 6 2019
A caller from the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. said that a man was acting strangely. He was dressed in "Arab" clothing and headdress, gotten into his white chevy truck, pulled out an axe from behind the front seat, and drove off hitting the car with the axe as he was driving. The caller said the man looked like he was playing, "dress-up and pretending to act macho". The call was sent to the California Highway Patrol.

Deputies got two calls around 10 p.m. about a loud explosion and gunshots in the area of Hill Road. A deputy drove out but could not find anything.

At 11:;30 .m., deputies got a call about a man sleeping in the lobby of the Glen Ellen Post Office. A deputy went out and told the man to move along.

A passerby in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Cavedale Road reported finding a big hat and a black cell phone in a ditch. The caller said he would put the items in a nearby mailbox for deputies to pick up.

A suspicious pick-up truck was seen driving on Schultz Road around 6 p.m. looking into mailboxes.

A resident of the 4000 block of Wake Robin Dr. reported that someone had fraudulently withdrawn a large sum of money from a credit union investment account.

Deputies got a call around 10 p.m. regarding a loud noise being heard in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Shaw Ave. It was surmised that the noise might be agriculturally related.

A resident of the 9000 block of Los Guilicos Ave. reported that he parked his truck around 2:30 p.m., and came back an hour later to find that his wallet was gone. The wallet had a few hundred dollars in cash and some credit cards.

A resident of the 15000 block of Marty Dr. reported people banging on her door acting belligerent, and asking about something to do with her power pole and power bill.

A car was vandalized in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. The car's owner suspects her ex-boyfriend might have done it.

Deputies got a call from a 16-year-old male teen who said he had been walking in Sonoma Valley Regional Park when he was approached by a woman in her fifties who said she liked to watch him naked. Another female was with her but did not say anything. This made the teen very uncomfortable so he called the sheriff.

A resident in the 1000 block of Adobe Canyon Road reported that neighbor's house had window that had recently been broken. A deputy drove out and discovered another window was broken. There was no one at the residence and it didn't appear the home had been broken into.

March 22 2019
Deputies responded to a public intoxication call on Laurel Ave. They found a male standing in the rain sopping wet next to a truck. When deputies approached the man was talking rapidly and sating there were monster size beavers in his truck and aliens on his porch. Deputies concluded the man was under the influence and arrested him.

A motorist driving in the area of Madrone Road and Sonoma Hwy. reported at 9 a.m. seeing a car parked on the side of the road hear a bridge with eight juveniles standing around. The caller thought this was unusual. A deputy drove out and contacted the youths. Nothing further.

A teenage girl was walking in the area of Thomas St. and Marty Dr., and reported being followed by a man in a blue pick-up truck

March 23 2019
A man called to say he was walking in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. when he came upon a crying woman who said she had been robbed. There was a man near her who said he was with the woman. A deputy went out. It was determined that the woman hadn't been robbed. She and her male acquaintance had gotten a ride from a third party. There was a dispute over gas money for the ride, and the driver had told them to get out.

A disturbance was reported in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. A resident reported that a neighbor kept coming on her property and harassing her.

Two gunshots were reported at 10:45 p.m. in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. A deputy drove out but could not locate anything.

March 29 2019
Deputies got a call from a resident of the 4000 block of Warm Springs Road. The caller said a tenant who lives in a cabin on the property was on vacation, but a light was on in the cabin. No one else is supposed to be on the property. A deputy went out and couldn’t find anything suspicious. Someone had just left the light on.

Three people called dispatch from the area of Marty Drive to report hearing fireworks. A deputy drove out but could not hear or find anything.

A resident of the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. called to complain about a neighbor’s car alarm going off at all hours of the day and night.

April 1 2019
A motorist in the area of Trinity Road and Sonoma Hwy. called to report a green Honda in a ditch, with a number of people standing around. The caller thought this was suspicious.

A resident from the area of Sonoma Highway and Shady Acres Lane reported that a neighbor’s dog looked injured. The matter was referred to animal control.

April 5 2019
Deputies got a call from the 6000 block of Enterprise Road regarding a coyote that seemed confused. The animal was walking slowly down the middle of the road, and was not afraid of the cars going by. The caller was referred to a wildlife assistance center.

A suspicious burgundy Chevy van was reported driving slowly and idling for 25 minutes in the area of Dunbar Road and Sylvia Drive. A deputy went out and found a van, but it was a different color.

A resident of Waldruhe Heights called to report that a neighbor’s dog kept coming on to his property and defecating. The caller said he threw a piece of bark at the dog, which ran back to its owner. The dog then came running back aggressively toward the caller, who threw another piece of bark at the dog. A deputy went out and talked to the dog’s owner, who had a different version of events. The caller said he wanted to make a citizen’s arrest.

April 9 2019
As an employee was leaving Benziger Winery late at night, he reported seeing a white pickup enter the property. No one was supposed to be at the winery. A deputy drove out but could not locate anyone.

Deputies got a call from a bartender at the Jack London Saloon about a male patron acting strangely, and going in and out of the bar. The man had a backpack and was carrying a bicycle wheel. A deputy went out and told the man to move along.

Deputies got a call about a man yelling at passing vehicles in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. A deputy drove out and handled the situation.

April 15 2019
Someone smashed a passenger side window of a vehicle parked on Arnold Dr. outside the entrance to Sonoma Valley Regional Park. A purse was stolen with $150 in cash and credit cards.

A resident of the 1000 block of Adobe Canyon returned home to find a vase missing and the flowers on the ground. She looked through the other rooms but did not find anything else missing.

Deputies got a call from a resident of the 1000 block of Hill Road concerned that someone was impersonating a PG&E worked. The caller said that the man was not wearing a uniform and was inquiring about taking down a power pole on the caller's property. A call to PG&E determined that the man was a subcontractor for PG&E.

April 17 2019
A man in the 100 block of Warm Springs Road called to report that someone had possibly been shooting at his home. A deputy drove out and found what looked like birdshot beneath a gutter.

Deputies went out to the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. for a call about a former tenant trespassing on the homeowner's property. By the time deputies arrived, the trespasser had left in a vehicle,

A resident of the 13000 block of Marty Dr. called at 2:20 a.m. to complain about a neighbor yelling into some kind of microphone. A deputy went out and got things to quiet down.

A Prius was reported parked in the middle of Los Guilicos Ave, with someone in the driver seat. A deputy went out and it turned out that the car had broken down and the driver was calling AAA.

Deputies got a call from a residence in the 900 block of Cecelia Ave. regarding a former tenant on the property. The former tenant said he was just trying to pick up some belongings. A deputy went out and talked to all the parties.

A mann was reported passed out on Yell Lane, apparently intoxicated.

A suspicious blue Ford was reported in the 12000 block of Sonoma Hwy. Nothing further.

A resident in the 15000 block of Arnold called to complain about a a neighbor being loud, laughing and drinking in the back yard. The caller said when he asked the neighbor to turn the music down, the neighbor would curse at him.

A resident of the 13000 block of Williams Road called to report a set of hoses was missing. Also odd was that someone, not her, had put vegetable identification signs in her garden. The resident was concerned about possible future unexplained incidents, and was given advice regarding security systems. The resident did mention that she had recently hired a new gardener.

April 27 2019
A resident of the 2000 block of London Ranch Road called whose house had burned in the 2017 fire reported coming to the property, and encountered a neighbor who became belligerent.A unit went out and spoke with both parties. There had been a dispute over parking in driveways. The caller said this was not the first time the neighbor had yelled at him. The caller was given information on how to obtain a restraining order.

April 28 2019
A property owner called to report that renters had caused some damage inside the house that s deputy should look at. A deputy drove out. A door had scratches and gnaw marks on it. The deputy determined that the marks were probably made by a small dog the renters had.

Deputies got a call from the 900 block of Madrone Ave. at 5 a.m. about a man banging on the front door and trying to get in. The caller said the man was showing a badge of some kind. A unit went out but could not find anyone.

A suspicious red truck was reported parked off the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. A deputy went out and it turned out a construction worker was on a lunch break.

May 4 2019
A resident of the 15000 block of Trestle Glen called at 2:30 a.m. to report that a neighbor was hosting an event, and a lot of cars were parked on the caller's property. A deputy made contact with the neighbor and the situation was resolved.

Deputies responded to a landlord/tenant dispute in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. The landlord was trying to get the tenant to leave because of non-payment of rent, but the tenant said that the landlord was coming in and out of apartment without permission. The landlord had not yet started any eviction proceedings. A deputy explained the eviction laws to the landlord, and told him he just couldn't enter the tenant's apartment any time he wanted. The landlord said he would try and work things our with the tenant.

May 4 2019
A neighbor in the 15000 block of Arnold Dr. called at 2:30 a.m. to complain about neighbors playing loud music outside. The caller said one of the neighbors was asked to turn the music down, they became belligerent. By the time a deputy arrived, all was quiet.

May 5 2019
About a dozen gunshots were heard in the 6000 block of Enterprise Road. Callers said it sounded like an automatic weapon. One of the callers said his neighbor had guns, and had been known to shoot them at other times. A deputy drove out and all was quiet so the origin of the shots could not be determined.

May 6 2019
A motorist driving in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. at 5:30 a.m. waved to a man standing next to a truck who then ducked behind the truck as if to hide. The motorist thought this odd. A deputy drove out and found the truck, which had some items in the back. There was no one around.

May 8 2019
Deputies and the Sheriff's Henry 1 helicopter went to assist in a call about an injured mountain biker in Annadel-Trione State Park. While searching, deputies found the injured biker off the road and under some trees. A medical unit from Henry 1 had to hike in and transport the man via a long line out to an area where a helicopter could land and take him to a hospital.

Deputies got a call about a truck that was broken into in the 9000 block of Los Guilicos Ave. The truck had been locked, but the burglar used some kind of tool to open the door. Items taken added up to $120.

Deputies got a call from a woman who said she had put her coin purse on her car bumper as she filled the vehicle with gas at Kenwood Fast Gas. AS she was driving on Sonoma Hwy., she realized she had driven off with the coin purse still on the bumper. She went back to the gas station but couldn't find the purse. She went home an cancelled her credit cards

A resident of the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. called to say that she had heard someone in the back of her property. A deputy went out but could not locate anyone.

At 10:30 p.m., deputies got a call from the 12000 block of Sonoma Hwy. about loud music on a neighboring property.

A resident of the 11000 block of Dunbar Road called to report finding a garbage bag with animal remains, maybe a sheep.

Deputies got a call at 2 a.m. from a resident in the 100 block of Hoff Road about a strange man pounding on the front door. The man was told to leave, and he was last seen walking down Hoff Road. A deputy went out but could locate anyone.

A resident of Hill Road called to say that a neighbor was accusing her of reporting the neighbor’s cannabis grow, which the resident said she had not done. The caller said the neighbor threatened that if the grow kept getting reported, the cartel would come and get the caller.

May 21 2019
A resident on Vintage Lane reported that there was evidence that someone had tried to pry open a door on the front porch. A deputy went out, looked at the door, and concluded there was no attempt to break in.

May 22 2019
A caller in the area of the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. called to report a woman walking barefoot and crying, and there was a male with her. A deputy went and contacted both parties, and saw the woman had visible bruises. The male said the two were from out of town, recently married, and had been wine tasting. The male said the woman had been insulting him, and he had gotten upset and grabbed her. After talking with both parties, the deputy decided to arrest the man for suspicion of assault.

Deputies got a report of illegal dumping in the 6000 block of Sonoma Mountain Road. The caller, a resident on the block, said trash was all over the side of the road, including a box that had an address on Sonoma Mountain Road. The caller said this was an ongoing problem. After a while, the caller called back to say that a neighbor was picking up the garbage and putting it in their own garbage can.

At 4 p.m., deputies got a call about a man and a woman who had stolen a vehicle on the grounds of the Sonoma Developmental Center (SDC), and then returned it. The two were reported walking toward a creek, and possibly hiding in one of the empty buildings on the property. A number of law enforcement personnel were called out, including a helicopter and a canine unit. A Nixle Alert was sent out to the public with a description of the two, but they were not located. A citizen called the next day to report that she thought she saw the two suspects at a surplus sale at the SDC. Nothing further.

Deputies got a report of two men crossing across private property and trespassing in the 13000 block of Mound Ave. in Glen Ellen.

May 28 2019
An off site owner of a home under construction in the 4000 block of Warm Springs Road called to report that a camera at the property showed that someone was walking around in the house with a flashlight, and that no one should be there. A deputy went out but was unable to locate anyone.

June 2 2019
A caller from the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. called to report that a man had just gotten out of his vehicle and put a methamphetamine pipe in his left sock. A deputy went out, contacted the man, and searched his sock but did not find anything.

June 5 2019
A resident of the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. called at 11:30 p.m. to complain that they were trying to sleep, but were being kept up by very loud opera music nearby.

There was a fraud report from the 600 block of Kenilworth Ave. The caller said that someone had obtained her user identification for her phone account, and had transferred her service to another carrier, thus making her unable to use her phone.

June 6 2019
A caller who takes care of an elderly woman in the 6000 block of Enterprise Road reported possible elder fraud. The elderly woman hired a man to do some work at the house, but the man left without fixing what he was supposed to. The caller said that upon investigation, three checks had been taken from three different checkbooks and made out to “cash.” It was discovered that the checks had been cashed fraudulently in the amounts of $1,000, $500, and $1,000. A photocopy of the checks showed that the signatures on the checks were not the woman’s. The caregiver suspected the workman, but there was no paperwork or other information that would allow deputies to track the man down.

June 6 2019
A worker on a construction site in the 12000 block of Dunbar Road called to report that a co-worker had drugs in his vehicle, and appeared to be under the influence at the moment. Nothing further.

June 8 2019
An employee at a restaurant in the 13000 block of Arnold called to report an intoxicated woman who wouldn't leave. The employee said the woman drove up in a truck, parked, and then stumbled to the restaurant. The woman sat at the bar and ordered food and alcohol. Staff asked her to leave multiple times before she finally complied, swaying to the right and left as she was exiting. By that time, a deputy arrived, contacted the suspect, smelled alcohol, and observed she was slurring her speech. The California Highway Patrol was called in to do a DUI evaluation.

June 9 2019
Deputies got a call at 3:30 a.m. from a resident in the 8000 block of Egg Farm Road about a group of men speaking very loudly in Spanish. The caller said he was willing to make a citizen’s arrest. A deputy drove out but could not find anyone.

In the early evening, deputies got a call from the 1000 block of Adobe Canyon Road. The caller said there was a man with long hair, not wearing any shoes, who said that he had come back from a hike and found a tire was flat, and that his cell phone had died. The caller considered the man suspicious. A deputy drove out and contacted the man, who was by his vehicle waiting for a tow truck.

Five or six gunshots were heard in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Nuns Canyon Road around 9:30 p.m. A deputy drove out but could not locate anything

June 15 2019
A resident of Madrone Road called to report that two RVs were parked along the road, and didn't belong there. he RVs had out of state plates.

June 17 2019
A man called from a Bennett Valley Road property to report that a woman had burst into the home and threatened him by saying that she had a Hells Angel friend who would come and hurt him. She then stole a piggy bank full of coins, according to the man.

A resident in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. reported that someone was stealing mail from mailboxes in the area. The caller said this was an ongoing problem, with residents finding mail strewn all over the ground.

An employee of a rehabilitation center on Warm Springs Road called to say that a discharged client was getting agitated and refused to leave the premises. A deputy went out, made contact, and told the client to leave, which he did.

Deputies got a call from a resident of the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. about a man that looked homeless, walking on the side of the road. The dispatcher asked if the man was dong anything wrong. The caller said no, but that she would feel better if a deputy came out and asked the man what he was doing. A deputy did drive by, but could not locate the man.

An employee of a restaurant in the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. said that a man had come in and was trying to start a fight. The man had left and was now chasing people in the parking lot. The man then got in his truck and was continually speeding up and down the highway. The truck was then last seen traveling eastbound on Sonoma Hwy.

The employee helped get gas for the man, but the man was still hanging around the area with a vehicle that had no license plates. A deputy drove out and contacted the suspicious man, who it turns out had a broken down vehicle.

A probation search was conducted, and the deputy found a piece of cellophane with residue of what appeared to be methamphetamine. The man was cited and released.

Animal Control received information about a dog attacking another dog on Aug. 30 at 9 a.m. in the area of Clyde and Randolph avenues. According to an Animal Control official, a pit bull broke through a fence of a nearby residence and attacked a dog which was being walked by its owner, sending the dog to the animal hospital, where it is still recovering from its injuries. It was not the first time Animal Control had received a report about that particular pit bull attacking a dog. After the incident, the owner of the pit bull elected to euthanize the dog at a local animal hospital.

The caller said there was construction on the property and one of the workers told the resident that he was running away from a park ranger and wanted the resident to hide him. The resident said he didn't want to file a report because he was afraid the worker would retaliate.

Deputies got a suspicious circumstances call from a resident in the 1000 block of Nuns Canyon Road. The resident was off site but got a call telling him that two males were ripping out cannabis plants across from the residence, and the subjects did not look like law enforcement. According to the person who called the resident, the two subjects left when they saw him taking pictures.

A caller to dispatch reported that his car had been vandalized two days earlier while parked in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 9000 block of Sonoma Hwy. About 7 p.m. on Sept. 14, the caller said he slowed down on Sonoma Hwy. to take a left turn into the parking lot. In his rear view mirror, he saw a BMW approaching at a high rate of speed. The BMW slammed on its brakes and the drive stared and yelled at the caller, and then drove on. After finishing a meal, the caller went out and discovered his car had been keyed all the way around. Estimated damage is $1500. The restaurant did have a video camera pointing at the parking lot, and deputies were going to look at the footage.

A very large pine tree was vandalized at Kenwood School. Someone had used some kind of cutting tool to make a big cut in the tree, located right next to the athletic field and picnic benches. Kenwood School District Superintendent Bob Bales said an arborist check out the tree and determined it would have to come down. "Really disturbing," said Bales.

A Kenwood resident called to report that he was going to buy a car on Craig's List. Some independent research by the resident found that there was a different owner on the title than what he had seen, and that the car actually had 17,1,000 miles on it instead of the as advertised 45,000 miles. When the resident asked questions about this to the seller over the phone, the seller became agitated and said he would physically harm the resident. A deputy spoke with the resident, and called and left a message for the seller.

A resident of the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called about a neighbor who threatened to beat him up. The resident then got a phone call from someone who said the neighbor had hired a hit man to hurt the resident. A deputy went out and talked to the neighbor.

Deputies got a call at 1 a.m. regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. A woman called from Gibson Street and said she had recently broken up with her boyfriend and was now seeing someone else. The woman and her date were driving on Arnold Drive and stopped at a stop sign. On the other side of the intersection was her ex-boyfriend in his vehicle. The woman and date made their way to a residence on Gibson Street and sat parked in the car when they saw the ex-boyfriend driving toward them at a high rate of speed, sideswiping the parked car. The ex-boyfriend went down the road, then put his car in reverse and headed back towards the woman. The ex-boyfriend stopped and got out of his car, started yelling, jumped up and down on the hood of the car the woman was sitting in, and then drove off. A deputy came out, issued an emergency protective order for the woman, and then attempted to contact the ex-boyfriend. The matter is still under investigation.

Three shots were heard in the 4000 block of Warm Springs Road near a residence.

December 2 2019
A resident in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. called to report that their mother had seen a male break into a row of mailboxes ands steal mail. The suspect was last seen driving north on Arnold Dr.

December 4 2019
In the 14000 block of Arnold Dr., a deputy was flagged down by a man who appeared to be injured, had dried blood on his clothes, and looked like he got into a fight. The man appeared intoxicated. He told the deputy he had gotten into a verbal altercation with two other men he lived with, and the argument turned physical. The deputy contacted the other two men who said the man entered the residence intoxicated and agitated, and basically picked a fight. One of the two men pushed the intoxicated man away, who then walked away from the house and down the road, falling at least twice along the way. The deputy concluded that no crime had been committed, and got medical care for the injured man.

A resident in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called to complain about man in a car outside yelling and honking his horn. The caller said the man appeared intoxicated. A deputy went out but could not find anything.

A resident in the 1000 block of Creekside reported that someone had stolen the lug nuts off his wife's car. The caller said it was likely someone who he and his wife had a restraining order against. A deputy tried to contact that person but was unsuccessful.

Around 9:45 p.m., deputies got a call from the 15000 block of Marty about a naked man running around outside screaming and swearing. The caller said the man appeared to be on something. A deputy drove out and contacted the naked man, and told him to never again leave his apartment without wearing clothes.

December 8 2019
A deputy was driving in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. at 1 p.m. when he saw an unattended bicycle leaning against a tree. The deputy soon saw a man who walking out of a storm drain. The deputy recognized the man, who granted permission to be searched. The deputy found a small baggie with a white crystal substance, and a broken pipe. The man was place in the squad car while the deputy searched the storm drain, where he found another pipe. The man was cited for possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation.

A resident of the 14000 block of Sonoma Hwy. called to report that two guns had been stolen.

Deputies got a call from the 1000 block of Hill Road about gunshots in the area.

A Hill Road resident called at 9 p.m. to complain about a party's music with loud bass that was rattling her house. A deputy drive out but could not locate any party and all was quiet.

Deputies got a call at 7:30 a.m. about an injured possum near the intersection of Keiser and Lawndale Roads. Animal control was called.

Two men in a white Honda were reported screaming at each other. The reporting party called back and reported the men had run to the back of a nearby house. Nothing more.

Deputies got a report around midnight of a man causing a disturbance at the Jack London Saloon. Deputies were advised that the man had tried to assault a bartender. The bartender later told deputies that the man and a female companion came int the bar and were arguing with each other. The two went into the Mens bathroom together and continued yelling at each other. The bartender asked them to leave, which then prompted the man to start arguing with the bartender, being encouraged by the female. Another bar patron tried to help the bartender, and the female companion then took a swing at that person, but missed. The man and woman were able to be hustled outside, and the bartender locked the front door. The two started pounding on the door and one of them picked up a rock and threw it at the door. About that time a deputy drove up and saw the two suspects outside and screaming. The male suspect saw the deputy and started to walk away. The deputy told him to stop but he ignored the deputy. A second unit arrived and the male subject started running, but a deputy stopped him and took him into custody. Both the man and woman were arrested for public intoxication.

Deputies got a call at 8 p.m. from a resident in the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. The resident reported that someone had stolen prescription medicine form her unlocked car.

A resident of the 12000 block of Sonoma Hwy. reported seeing an older man messing with an electrical box.

A black pug dog was reported lost in 300 block of Adobe Canyon Road. The matter was referred to Animal Control.

A resident of Sonoma Mountain Road called to report suspicious activity in one of the financial accounts of a deceased aunt.

An employee at a business in the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. said she was verbally accosted by the husband of her manager at a recent holiday party. The woman said the husband confronted her about money missing from the business, and this caused the woman to have a panic attack.

A resident of Martin St. reported that someone had hacked into their Apple account, and made close to $3000 in fraudulent purchases, and had the items sent to an address in Kentucky.

Staff at a group home in the 3000 block of Warm Springs Road called to report a resident would not leave the premises after being told to do so. The man appeared delusional and was uncooperative. The caller said that the man finally did leave and was walking in the direction of Santa Rosa.

An employee of the Glen Ellen Grocery called to report about a man continually trespassing on the store's property.

Someone from Channing Row called around 11 a.m. to report a suspicious man pacing back and forth in front of the Kenwood Community Church while a service was going on. One person went out to talk to the man, but the man raised his hand in a confrontational manner. Another person came out to speak with the man, who reportedly was talking gibberish about religion. A deputy drove out but was unable to locate the man.

A resident of the 300 block of Greene St. reported that a man in a Toyota had driven up a private road, and when confronted about it, got verbally abusive to her husband, and then drove off quickly almost hitting the husband. A deputy was nearby but could not locate the vehicle.
