Claire Morelli, 1932-2019
Claire Morelli was born on April 23, 1932, and was the loving wife of the late John Morelli. She passed away Feb. 10, 2019, at the age of 86. She leaves her four daughters and their families; Jeanmarie; Claire and daughters Martina and Fabiana; Donna, her husband David, and their two sons, David and Charles; Claudia and her husband David. Claire is also survived by her brother James and many other beloved family members.
She was born in New York, and moved to New England, where she raised her family. Claire was an interior designer and a freelance writer. She and her husband John enjoyed traveling. Later, she enjoyed living in Santa Rosa for many years, including her last seven years at Oakmont Gardens. Claire was a vibrant, charming and dynamic woman who lived a meaningful life with integrity. Throughout her life, she contributed to her community through organizations that shared her belief in Christ’s message of kindness, compassion, and the dignity of all human beings.
Her family would like to acknowledge the excellent care and support she received from Dr. Kent Matsuda, the Oakmont Gardens Staff, Roberta McElroy and the Star of the Valley Catholic Church, and Memorial Hospice.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at Star of the Valley Catholic Church. A reception will follow at Oakmont Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Claire’s name to Star of the Valley Catholic Church or Memorial Hospice.
