Dancin' feet in Glen Ellen

Transcendence Theatre presents a toe-tapping celebration of dance with “Those Dancin' Feet,” with weekend performances from Aug. 9-Aug. 25 in the historic winery ruins of Jack London State Park. Preshow picnicking starts at 5 p.m., with showtime at 7:30 p.m.

Featuring world-class singing and dancing from talented Broadway performers and set to a provocative storyline of three couples whose lives intertwine through music and dance, the show takes you on a journey of love, loss, and desire. Directed and choreographed by Roy Lightner, and using a collection of contemporary pop music and traditional musical theater, it examines the importance of human connection, the journey of finding love, and ultimately uncovers the power we all have within us.

The “Broadway Under the Stars” experience includes pre-show picnicking at 5 p.m. in the park's vineyard and meadow. Audiences are encouraged to enjoy musical entertainment before the main performance with homemade picnics or a dinner purchased from a variety of local gourmet food trucks onsite. Fine wines from eight different Sonoma County wineries are available for purchase at each performance.

Tickets prices are $45-79 General Reserved, $85-99 Premium, and $139-150 VIP. Go to transcendencetheatre.org.

Five dollars from every ticket sold is contributed for the support and maintenance of Jack London State Historic Park.
