Kenwood Footrace 3K and 10K
Thursday July 4th - 7:00amGet your 4th of July off on the right foot by participating in the Empire Runners annual Kenwood Footrace.
The Kenwood Footrace holds the distinction of being the oldest running 10K footrace in California. There is also a 3K that morning. Check in and race day registration starts at 6 a.m., with the runs starting at 7:30 a.m. Both races start and finish at Plaza Park.
No dogs allowed. Because of the narrow width of the race course, strollers are not permitted (this includes running strollers).
New for this year: Finishers in the 3K and 10K will receive a commemorative Kenwood Footrace finisher medal.
You get a Kenwood Footrace T-shirt with your paid entry, with the option to upgrade to a tech tee for $10.
Also, you can get $5 off the pancake breakfast at the Kenwood Community Church – limited tickets at time of registration.
Registration costs are $45 for adults for the 10K ($50 on race day), $40 for the 3K ($45 on race day; those under 18 are $35 for the 10K ($50 on race day, and $30 for the 3K ($45 on race day). Go to www.kenwoodfootrace.com to register.
