Medicinal plant walk
Sunday September 15th - 10:00amQuarryhill Botanical Garden is offering a Medicinal Plant Walk on Sunday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m.-noon, led by author/grower Peggy Schafer of the Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm and Chinese medicine practitioner Sean Fannin. This will be an informative stroll through Quarryhill’s main garden to identify plants in the collection that are recognized for varying health benefits in traditional Chinese medicine.
Schafer is the author of The Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm – A Cultivator’s Guide to Small-Scale Organic Herb Production, and a frequent lecturer at colleges of Oriental medicine, conferences and farming events. Fannin specializes in Chinese herbalism, medical Qigong, and client education as a clinical practitioner of Chinese medicine at The Center for Traditional Health Arts in Petaluma.
