Propagation workshops at Quarryhill Botanical Garden

Quarryhill Botanical Garden

Friday August 9th 2019 - 10:00am to

Would you like to take a little bit of Quarryhill Botanical Garden home with you for fall planting in your garden? Join Quarryhill nursery manager Samantha Myhre on either Friday, Aug. 9, or Saturday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m.-noon, for a Propagation Workshop on Cuttings.

Propagating plants by cuttings allows you to grow new plants that are identical to the original. You will learn what type of material to look for, how to take the cuttings, and how to process and care for them afterwards. Each attendee will take cuttings of both perennials and shrubs and will go home with six different species of plants. You will also learn how to take cuttings in your own garden.

This is the second in a series of three Quarryhill propagation workshops. The fee is $35 for Quarryhill Members, $40 for non-Members. Please register in advance, class size is limited. Go to quarryhillbg.org/propagationworkshopcuttings.html.

Quarryhill Botanical Garden is located at 12841 Sonoma Hwy. in Glen Ellen. 996-3166, quarryhillbg.org.
