The Art of Planning Eldridge and Glen Ellen - A four-week primer for upcoming General Plan revisions

This September, Larry Davis, Ph.D., will offer a class to empower citizens of Kenwood and Glen Ellen to work cooperatively with professional planners to plan the future of Glen Ellen and Eldridge. The group will meet face to face for two hours, once a week, for four weeks beginning the week of Sept. 9. The actual day of the week and time will be determined by the group.
The class schedule and topics are:
Week 1: “Rules and Tools: Introduction to California’s land use planning system”
Week 2: “People: The Network of Interested Parties Involved in Planning”
Week 3: “Specific Area Planning: Glen Ellen and Eldridge”
Week 4: “Gathering Data: Census Tract 1505 and Maps”
All classes will be held at Mayflower Hall in Glen Ellen. Cost will be $60 for all four sessions to cover printed material and class space rental. In addition to the eight hours of face-to-face class time, participants will be expected to complete at least two hours of study per week.
