Oaks and redwoods and climate hike

Saturday September 7th 2019 - 9:00am to

Join Volunteer Interpretive Naturalist John Lynch on a free hike to explore the role of oaks as a keystone species in Trione-Annadel State Park on Saturday, Sept. 7. Participants will spot a variety of oaks and look closer at leaf and stem galls.

The five-mile hike will begin at the Parktrail Drive entrance at 9 a.m. It will go up Canyon Trail to Lake Ilsanjo and back down Spring Creek Trail, returning around 1 p.m.

Wear hiking shoes and layers appropriate for weather; bring water and a snack. Some trails are rocky and uneven. Heavy rain cancels.

No advance reservations needed. Dogs not allowed.
