In not so delicious news, Umbria Restaurant in Glen Ellen has closed after a little over a year in business. Owner Giulio Tempesta came to Glen Ellen after 21 years running the well-known Italian restaurant of the same name in downtown San Francisco. On the Umbria website Tempesta thanked all the patrons who frequented his dining room, and ended with the promise, “One thing is for sure, is that you haven't heard the last of Chef Giulio Tempesta!” It is not known what will go in the empty space. Bar food is still available at the adjacent Jack London Saloon.
