rydman modular gets put in place

Del Rydman (right) couldn’t stop grinning as he watched a giant crane install two parts of a new second unit on his Adobe Canyon Road property on May 5. His home and garage (with upstairs second unit) were two of the first homes lost to the devastating October 2017 Nuns Fire. The 1,200-square-foot modular was built by Cutting Edge Modular of Woodland. Placing the two units side-by-side was most of a day’s work for the experienced crew, who snugged them up on a very tight-fitting foundation with the help of a giant crane. Rydman expects the place to be ready for occupation in a few weeks. Photos by Jay Gamel
