Movie screening with Peter Coyote at Muscardini CellarsJoin the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art on Aug. 25 for an evening of film, wine, and pizza - all things Italia - at a special screening of the film Arrangiarsi, under the stars at Muscardini Cellars in Kenwood. Special guests are Matteo Troncone, the film's director and star, and Peter Coyote, veteran actor, producer, writer, and Arrangiarsi fan. The two will participate in a Q&A following the film.
The event begins at 7 p.m. with a Napoli-style dinner of wood-fired oven pizzas and salad prepared on site in a mobile, wood-fired oven by Randy Martin of Vineyard Crust Company. Complementing dinner will be Italian varietal wines by Michael Muscardini. Arrangiarsi (91 min.) screens as the first stars come out, around 8:30 p.m. The film combines a healthy smattering of foodie passion, little-known Italian history, and quirky Neapolitans to tell the tale of one man's journey to find himself… and the greatest pizza on earth. You can view the trailer at arrangiarsifilm.com.
Tickets are $70 for lawn seating (bring your own low chair and blankets), $75 for limited reserved chair seating, and $85 for limited reserved table seating. Go to svma.org and click on “Programs + Events.”
Muscardini Cellars is located at 9380 Sonoma Hwy. in Kenwood and at Muscardinicellars.com.
