Open house for potential cannabis dispensary
The owners of a proposed cannabis dispensary in the Kenwood shopping center will hold an open house on Aug. 21, 5:30-7 p.m. to meet with members of the community and discuss their plans.
The open house will be held in potential space, formerly a wine tasting room that has been empty for well over a year. It has two access points, a door that opens up on the shopping center's courtyard area, and a door to the back parking lot.
Sonoma's Finest 2.0 is the entity that has filed an application for the dispensary with the county.
“We look forward to speaking with neighboring businesses and residents about who we are and how we operate,” said David Scott, principal at Sonoma Finest.
If you would like to attend the open house, RSVP to SonomasFinestKenwood@gmail.com.
A company spokesman earlier this summer said he would expect about 250 people a day would visit the dispensary, spending an average of about 15 minutes. No onsite consumption of cannabis would be allowed.
The application for the use permit, which is in the early stages of the application process, will eventually have to be approved by the county's Board of Zoning Adjustments.
