Spa reopens, discount for locals

After a 21-month closure, the Spa at the Kenwood Inn has reopened, and there’s a “Love Our Locals” special in place through January of next year.

The spa – along with the rest of the Kenwood Inn property – was initially closed during the wildfires of fall 2017. Although Kenwood Inn’s guestrooms reopened in spring 2018, the spa has remained closed to allow time for a complete remodeling.

The new spa includes three individual treatment rooms, one couple’s treatment room, a private, outdoor terrace for couple’s treatments or lounging, and a luxurious, private tub for bath treatments, with glorious vineyard views.

Also new are separate men’s and women’s locker rooms and a poolside relaxation room. Two semi-private outdoor cabanas, a swimming pool and hot tub are adjacent to the spa. All spa spaces are open to day visitors when they reserve a cabana or book a spa treatment of 50 minutes or longer.

The new spa menu features a full array of face and body treatments, from the Rebalancing Facial to Cielo Bliss Detox CBD Massage and Espresso and Mud Detoxifying Body Wrap. Skin care product lines at Kenwood Inn’s spa include Intraceuticals, IS Clinical, Naturopathica and Vital Body Therapeutics. Day guests who don’t want to leave the pool area may opt for the spa’s Mimosas and Mini-Massage if also reserving a cabana; sip your mimosa poolside while an expert therapist kneads your feet and hands for 20 minutes.

If you are a local, take advantage of the “Love our Locals” special going on right now. Locals get a 15 percent discount on a spa treatment. The special is valid Monday through Friday, Sept. 1 through Jan. 31 of next year, and is good for cabana reservations and all treatments of 50 minutes or more.

For a list of available treatments, current packages, and to reserve spa appointments, call 833-1293, or visit www.kenwoodinn.com/spa. The Kenwood Inn & Spa is located at 10400 Sonoma Hwy. in Kenwood.

Workplace award for Ledson Winery & Vineyards

Ledson Winery & Vineyards has been selected as one of the North Bay Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work.”

The awards are presented by the Business Journal, the Nelson Family of Companies, Exchange Bank, Kaiser Permanente, and underwritten by Trope Group. Ledson Winery & Vineyards will be recognized along with other winners at a reception on Sept. 26 at the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country. Look for profiles of Ledson and other winners in a September issue of the North Bay Business Journal.

“This is a great honor for our company and for me personally,” said winemaker and founder Steve Ledson. “We are proud of our team who come to work every day committed to ensuring a great experience for our customers and their fellow workmates.”

According to the North Bay Business Journal, the 109 organizations selected were analyzed by the editorial staff of the Business Journal on the basis of several criteria, including the employer application, survey ratings by employees, number of responses, size of the company, breakdown of responses from management and non-management, and written comments by employees.

Ledson Winery & Vineyards produces more than 70 wines annually, representing the largest ultra-premium wine portfolio of any family-owned winery in the United States. Ledson Winery & Vineyards are open to the public daily, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Learn more at www.ledson.com.

Chamber hosts “Building Business Resilience”
