SVCAC meeting on traffic study
At its Nov. 20 meeting, the Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission (SVCAC) will hear a presentation about a long-anticipated study on Sonoma Valley traffic.
The county recently released a lengthy traffic analysis of the valley, conducted by the consulting company GHD.
The report looked at traffic capacity and safety issues related to tourist traffic volumes. Recommendations include limiting winery industry-wide events, the use of shuttles to alleviate event traffic, and increased permit requirements.
GHD has also done a traffic analysis for the Dry Creek Valley and Westside Road area.
The Nov. 20 meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the auditorium of the Sonoma Valley Veterans Building, 126 First St. West.
