Academy awards, crab feed on tap for GEK Rotary
Want to have some fun talking about the upcoming Academy Awards? Then come to the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood’s next meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 5:30 p.m. at the Kenwood Depot.
There the folks from the Rialto Theater will dissect the myriad Oscar races and share what movies/actors and actresses/directors/screenwriters, etc. should really win the Oscar.
Also coming up is the club’s main fundraiser for the year – the event that allows the club to work on important community and international projects.
This year’s Fab Crab Fest will take place Saturday, March 21, 6-9:30 p.m., at Valley of the Moon Winery. There will be a live auction, silent auction, and a delicious crab dinner. What the club raises at this event goes right to where help is needed – so please come and support Rotary!
Tickets will be on sale at www.glenellenkewoodrotary.com and at the Kenwood Press office.
Do you have ideas about how to help your community? Want to find out more about Rotary? Come to a Rotary meeting at the Kenwood Depot on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, 5:30-7 p.m.
Your first meeting is free, and after that it’s $10. Hors d’oeuvres are served, there’s a no-host bar, and you’ll always hear an interesting speaker.
Rotary is open to men and women of all ages.
