GEK Rotary crab feed – get your tickets!

The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood’s major fundraiser, Fab Crab Fest, is coming up at Valley of the Moon Winery on March 21. This event allows the club to assist local and international service programs every year, both with funds and hands-on work.

The evening, 6-9:30 p.m., will feature a live auction, silent auction, and delicious crab dinner. All funds raised at this event go right to where help is needed – so please come and support the club and the causes it supports, such as teen vocational services, homeless programs in Sonoma Valley, food assistance for those in need, clean water systems in Guatemala, and more.

Tickets are on sale at www.glenellenkenwoodrotary.com and at the Kenwood Press office.

Donations for the silent auction are always appreciated. Contact Ann at ann@kenwoodpress.com if you can help.

Do you have ideas about how to help your community? Want to find out more about Rotary? Come to a Rotary meeting at the Kenwood Depot on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, 5:30-7 p.m. The Depot is located at 314 Warm Springs Road.

Your first meeting is free, and after that it’s $10. Hors d’oeuvres are served, there’s a no-host bar, and you’ll always hear an interesting speaker. Rotary is open to men and women of all ages. For more information about membership, contact Kathleen Bunte at buntekb@gmail.com.
Upcoming speaker
Feb. 19 – Lyndsey Rose Burcina, advocate for the LBGTQ and minority community in Sonoma County, and educator at the Metta Center for nonviolence in Petaluma.
