Hike Sugarloaf’s lower trails with Bill & Dave

Join Bill and Dave on Saturday, Feb. 29, for a leisurely hike on some of the lower trails within Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, especially appreciating the beauty of the waterfall. Meet at the White Barn parking lot at 9:45 a.m. for a prompt 10 a.m. departure. The hike will consist of two loops from the parking lot – a three-mile lower loop taking in the waterfall and then a three-mile upper loop with lunch along the banks of Sonoma Creek and a stop at the former Camp Butler. The total elevation gain for both loops is 800 feet. Plan to wear layered clothing and bring a lunch and ample liquids. Hike is rain or shine and there is a $10 ($8 senior) vehicle fee to enter the park.

Bill & Dave Hikes are sponsored by Sonoma County Regional Parks, California State Parks, Team Sugarloaf and the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council. For more information, contact Bill at 833-6288, Dave at 539-8847, or go to www.billanddavehikes.com.
