Landmark Vineyards donates $35,000 for COVID-19 relief

Landmark Vineyards is giving $35,000 in donations to two nonprofit organizations through the Landmark Community Grants program. These grants will support programs focused on providing COVID-19 relief in Sonoma Valley and Russian River Valley, two regions of Sonoma County where many Landmark employees live and work.

Since 2014, Landmark has contributed over $280,000 to local organizations through grants and employee-directed donations. To provide needed emergency relief in combatting the effects of COVID-19, a committee of employee volunteers selected worthy organizations to receive the grants. These nonprofits are working diligently to support the local community and reduce the impact of the pandemic.

"We are grateful to provide relief for these vital organizations working tirelessly to address the immediate needs of the community during these unprecedented times," said Clarence Chia, senior vice president of marketing for Landmark. "Ensuring the region continues to prosper is critical and we commend the essential programs Redwood Empire Food Bank and La Luz are offering."

The organizations receiving grants are:

Redwood Empire Food Bank- $20,000 in support of the Redwood Empire Food Bank's response to the increased need for meal distributions due to COVID-19. With an average of 83,000 meals distributed per day, this donation will help provide much nourishment to families in Sonoma County.

La Luz - $15,000 for the La Luz Crisis Fund to assist with food, rent, and supplies to Latino and undocumented residents. The funds will also support the assembly and distribution of facemask kits as well as a program designed to help Spanish-speaking community members with SBA applications for their small businesses.
