Cuclis appointed to climate change panel

Sonoma County Board of Education Area One Trustee Gina Cuclis, of Boyes Hot Springs, has been appointed to the California School Boards Association Climate Change Task Force. Cuclis is one of only 14 school board members from throughout the state, and the only one from the North Bay/North Coast region, appointed to the task force by CSBA president Xilonin Cruz-Gonzalez.

The Task Force will help identify areas in which CSBA can support its members to address climate change, to help ensure that local education agencies benefit from the state's efforts to address climate change, and to help ensure that the concerns of local education agencies and the students and families they serve are heard and addressed at the state and federal levels.

Cuclis was first elected to the Sonoma County Board of Education in November 2012 and represents Sonoma, Bennett, and Rincon valleys.
