Glen Ellen salutes those who serve

Grateful Glen Ellen folks have mounted banners around town to thank front line workers for showing up on the job during our Shelter in Place. Like the gratitude felt for firefighters who charged to the fire front when danger threatened two years ago, essential workers reporting for duty are equally appreciated.

Essential workers include the people getting us our food in the market, ensuring our mail is delivered, agricultural workers ensuring food crops continue to grow in the fields, and police and fire men and women standing by for safety. Meanwhile CNAs, RNs, hospital housecleaners, physicians and other health care people are on the job to divert a surge, and Glen Ellen is grateful.

Banners were funded through Glen Ellen Forum, a local group of citizens devoted to good works.

This is the second banner of gratitude to Glen Ellen's front line workers.
