Auction cancelled – KEF makes direct appeal
In lieu of the cancellation of its biggest fundraiser of the year, Lights, Camera, Auction, the Kenwood Education Foundation (KEF) is making a direct appeal to the public for funding.
KEF, the fundraising non-profit for the Kenwood School District, was hoping to raise $85,000 at this year’s event, which was to be held at Hanna Boys Center.
The KEF raises funds for a number of programs at the school, including teacher aides, computer lab, library, physical education, mini-grants, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Technology) lab, preschool, and more.
Donations of any size can be made online at kef.schoolauction.net/lca2020.
In addition, two local wineries are offering a portion of their sales to the KEF.
Hamilton Wines is donating 100 percent of its profits from every sale. Go to www.hamiltonwine.com and use the code SUPPORTKEF.
Annadel Estate Winery is offering 20 percent off their wines, with the profit going to KEF. Go to www.annadelestatewinery.com/collection/ and use the code SUPPORTKEF.
