Though this year Kenwood has no official 4th of July parade, Empire Runners foot race, Kenwood Community Church pancake breakfast, or Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood picnic in Plaza Park, a King and Queen have been installed to rule for the next year. Agustin Reiter and Angela Amantite have just graduated from high school and will be off to college. Both were raised in Kenwood and are Kenwood School graduates. Both just recently graduated from Maria Carrillo High School. On July 4, at around 11 a.m. the King, Queen, six Kenwood Princesses, and the Kenwood Royal Court will be riding around town in two decorated trucks led by the Kenwood Fire Department, which will sound their arrival. The procession will start at Plaza Park and then wind through the Kenwood village.
This year’s princesses are Annabelle Demarest, Megan Smulan, Kaya Forney, Calais Cuallar, Ella Palter, and Sadie Stolkin. The Royal Court is Brianna Borgfeldt, Dakota Borgfeldt, and Linda Ockuly. For the health of all of their beloved Kenwoodians, the Royals insist that all citizens comply with COVID-19 safety guidelines on mask/face coverings and appropriate six-feet social distancing between families and individuals.
