Fawn Rescue of Sonoma County is a unique wildlife organization. It’s goal and mission is to successfully rescue, raise, rehabilitate and release ill, injured or orphaned Black-tailed fawns back into the wild.
During fawn season (April-September), the organization provides 24/7 support to County residents and a number of animal care and law enforcement agencies, park rangers and veterinarians.
To date, Fawn Rescue of Sonoma County has fielded over 35,000 calls for assistance, rescued more than 3,000 fawns, raised 360, rehabilitated and successfully released nearly 1,800 back into the wild.
Fawn Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and is solely dependent upon donations from the community. Their in-person fundraiser scheduled for last March at the golf course facility in Oakmont had to be postponed because of COVID-19. This makes the Oct. 1-4 virtual FAWNdraiser event more important than ever.
