Feeding people in need...

Volunteers were ready for a steady stream of cars picking up free food at Jack London Village on Friday, Aug. 7. The food is provided by the Redwood Empire Food Bank, and is distributed by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood and others. Distribution takes place on the first and third Friday of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. in the north parking lot of Jack London Village at 14301 Arnold Dr.
Another free food distribution takes place on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 5 to 6 p.m. in Kenwood at St. Patrick’s Church, 9000 Sonoma Hwy. People picking up food must self-verify their income to ensure it is within the income guidelines established by the State of California. This means that you will need to state that you fit into the income guidelines, but you do not need to show proof of income or identification.
