June 13 “Dave & Bill” hike at Jack London State Park
On Saturday, June 13, at 9:45 a.m., meet Bill, Sandy, and Tim in the upper parking lot, to the right just beyond the kiosk, at Jack London State Historic Park. At 10 a.m. sharp we’ll begin our tour of some of the existing structures of Jack London’s Beauty Ranch followed by a stop at the Lake and Bathhouse. Then we will follow the Mountain Trail up to the park summit and explore some infrequently used trails. This moderately strenuous hike of 8.5 miles will take approximately 5 hours round trip. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and layered clothing and bring lunch with lots of liquids. Please note that we hike rain or shine and that there is a parking fee.
