Seeds of Learning benefit

Glen Ellen resident Jeff Falconer will present his one-man show “High Road to Doomsday” on June 6 at the Sonoma Community Center’s Andrews Hall. All proceeds benefit Seeds of Learning, an international service group based in Sonoma.

High Road is “a tragi-comic exploration of the human condition, full of music, loving satire, dark humor and stubborn optimism,” according to Falconer. The tone of the show is mock-scholarly, with tips of the satirical hat to pundits, preachers and self-help luminaries. While the prospect of impending doom on any number of fronts is acknowledged, the show is ultimately very hopeful, an evolutionary tent-revival with lots of laughs, heartfelt moments and the possibility of total enlightenment if you pay attention.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available at Readers’ Books, at the Community Center Box Office, and at the door.
