Toxics drop-off in Kenwood



You can drop off your household toxics in Kenwood on Oct. 19.

To find out the location and to make an appointment, call the Sonoma County Waste Management Agency at 795-2025, or toll-free (877) 747-1870. Call at least 24 hours prior to the collection event.

Hours for the Oct. 19 drop-off are 4-8 p.m.

There is no fee for Sonoma County residents.

State transportation laws limit each vehicle to a maximum of 15 gallons of liquid (with a maximum of 5 gallons per container) or 125 pounds of solid material. Never mix chemicals. Syringes/needles must be in a sealed and labeled approved container.

Common examples of household toxics are pesticides, pool chemicals, propane cylinders, auto batteries, paint, solvents, brake fluid, gasoline, etc.

Items that are not accepted: Explosives or ammunition, radioactive materials, biological wastes (except syringes), electronics, or controlled substances.
